DeChambeau又有新消息，就是他成為美巡賽首位整組球桿都配置碳纖維桿身。這似乎也沒什麼了不起，因為對於一般球友來說，14支球桿都配碳纖維也稀鬆平常的事，但對於職業球員來說就不是了。職業球員尤其美巡賽這種高張力和高競爭環境，球員本身的力量和技術都特好。桿身這塊的好壞會直接影響球員成績表現。 碳纖維桿身對職業球員使用不好嗎？不是一堆球員都用碳纖維桿身嗎？沒錯，在木桿類來說幾乎所有職業球員都用碳纖維桿身，但在鐵桿桿身，挖起桿桿身和推桿桿身就不見得了。為什麼？因為越短的桿子，在下桿的承受力量會比長的桿身要更大。 因為桿身本身的受力面積鐵桿比木桿要小很多，所以桿身在單位面積上所承受的力量要更大更強。所以在這樣的使用需求上，如果桿身本身的強度不高，無法承受使用者的力量，就會讓擊球結果不穩定，效果發揮不會最好等結果。 當然現在科技和材質的進步下，對於碳纖維桿身強度已經不是太大問題。所以DeChambeau也是一位樂於嘗試新技術的職業球員。LAGP就滿足他對桿身上要更硬的需求，對於挖起桿桿身Rebar也是碳纖維材質。在最近的Shriners Hospitals for Children Open比賽裡最終一輪打出63桿的好成績。 現在越來越多職業球員使用碳纖維桿身在鐵桿和推桿上。Kevin Na在最近比賽也是使用LAGP TP推桿桿身，使用推桿有如神助！拿下冠軍。也就是對於職業球員在推桿也開始看到使用碳纖維材質桿身。這對於選手來說是很大的嘗試和代表。 本文未完，下集請待續。 下集開始。 DeChambeau loads his wedge shaft to LAGP Rebar and then becomes the first player with 14 graphite shafts on PGA tour. It seems there is no big deal for using all graphite shafts, but on PGA tour it's highly competitive and with the gears, if the club could not perform as good as players' expectation, there is no market for graphite shafts. In other word, shaft becomes important for tour player to perform their best on the tournament. With woods, it's no doubt graphite shaft is mainstream, but with iron and putter, it's still stainless shaft's market. Why? Since the shorter length clubs require hard and still to load golfer's power and each spot of the shaft will load bigger power than wood shaft. That's why tour player is prefer to use stainless shaft on irons. However, with material improvement and technology, graphite shaft on irons becomes stronger than ever with lighter advantage. There are more graphite iron shafts on tour and the young tour player like DeChambeau is using that will push graphite shaft to majority of golfers. We can enjoy the better performance and easier to handle advantage from graphite shaft and that's the benefits we can get through the technology. LAGP designs his own wedge shaft to allow him swing and perform better. He asks for stiffer iron and wedge shafts and that's Rebar wedge shaft born. With that, he shot the final run at 63 in Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. I think it gave him the confidence to use the whole graphite shafts on tour. With putter shaft, recently Kevin Na is hot on tour with his putter. He has been using LAGP TP putter shaft and got the champion with unbelievable putting results. That tells us that graphite shaft is entering all types of clubs. It was unable to see that in 20 years ago but with recent 10 years, the more graphite shafts come out, the results are better than people's expectations. DeChambeau整組球桿都配碳纖維桿身/DeChambeau makes history with 14 graphite shafts on PGA tour\~上集 http://www.peargolf.com/article/dechambeauzhengzuqiugandupeitanxianweiganshendechambeau-makes-history-14-graphite-shafts-pga 下集開始。 因為推桿是有很多禁忌和個人喜好存在。長久以來都是鋼管桿身是唯一的鐵律，而現在在技術和材質進步下，碳纖維推桿桿身逐漸被接受，而且美巡賽上成績表現是有目共睹，改變不少職業球員的想法和嘗試去使用的動機。 碳纖維桿身在木桿和鐵桿的使用經驗我就不多說，因為大多球友都有經驗。而我個人使用碳纖維推桿桿身也超過4年經驗。在這塊上我個人覺得，碳纖維對於提升推擊的手感是正面外，還有提升推擊的倒旋量，球的滾動效果更好、更穩定！ 也就是推的距離效果會更好，球的路徑更穩定和容易掌握。桿身重量分布更集中。因為用鋼管桿身推，往往在最後球會突然停下來。這點在碳纖維推桿桿身就比較不會有這狀況。如果連職業球員都認可碳纖維推桿桿身了，對於一般球友來說也沒有什麼不可以接受的理由。 DeChambeau去年開始就在使用LAGP的碳纖維推桿桿身，他是一位科學理論派球員。會把一些想法落實在實際比賽。而挖起桿桿身是碳纖維桿身最後一里路。因為打長打短的挖起桿都可以讓職業球員接受，那也代表碳纖維將逐步取代鋼管桿身的市佔率。 碳纖維材料的使用越來越廣，只要技術的進步，就可以提升碳纖維材質的各方面的能力。對於高爾夫球桿來說，當碳纖維桿身不斷去改善和提升目前使用上的問題下，在可以預期的時間裡，它會逐步取代鋼管桿身的市場。而DeChambeau算是第一個落實在職業比賽裡的球員。 至少我個人整組球桿除了挖起桿桿身外，全都是碳纖維桿身了。預計明年應該可以裝幾隻碳纖維挖起桿桿身來試。那你呢？ Since putter is very personal gear with preference and specification. Stainless putter shaft seems the only selection for putter shaft from long time ago, but technology and materials have been boosting. Graphite shafts now have gradually adopted by tour players. We can see more and more professional golfers with graphite putter shaft to win the tournament. I think we have no doubt on graphite shafts on woods and irons, since there are many golfers using graphite shafts with irons and woods. Personally I have been using graphite putter shafts over 4 years experience, I have sticked on the graphite putter shaft's stability, consistency and performance. It helps me gain the better putting feel, spin rate and rolling distance. It's much better than stainless shaft! Stainless putter shaft is always stopped suddenly on the rolling to the end. That's hard to manage the distance and power relationship. With graphite shaft, it can roll consistently to the end and distance is longer than stainless. If the tour players are adopting graphite shaft and I do not see the problem for average golfers without using it practically. DeChambeau is the player who trust science and own idea. He has been using LAGP putter TP shaft for a while and LAGP developed his wedge graphite shaft Rebar with stiffer shaft flex. Wedge shaft is differed with other shafts as it needs to play various distances and the shaft must be consistent and allow golfers to play different trajectories with drop and stop ability. Graphite shaft is getting better and stronger in loading golfer's power and speed. We can expect in near future graphite shaft will become mainstream on golf clubs to replace the stainless. Now we can see more golfers and professional golfers using graphite shafts on wedges and putter.
