# 海外打球最重要的問題在交通

海外打球最重要的問題在交通！

現在越來越多人都會到海外打球。以往大多是球隊組織一起出去打球。現在都可以在臉書上看到一些球友就相約到海外打球，分享在海外打球成果。當然有不少球友有興趣都會提問文章的主人一些問題。而就我個人的經驗，海外打球除了球場和住宿外，交通這塊才是最需要在意和做好安排。

到海外不太可能自己背球袋坐地鐵和公車去球場打球。現在出國想在海外開車都可以先辦國際駕照，多數國家都可以承認。如果沒有承認的國家只好請當地的朋友或地陪開車。找地陪可以上網搜尋，或問旅行社是否有可靠的地陪推薦？日本，歐洲、北美這些國家基本都可以租得到車。費用上也不會太貴。我這邊說的是租車費用。但其實最大的費用是在保險。

保險才是最貴的一塊。因為往往加上保險費，那一天的租車費用會很嚇人。所以我覺得最好的方式是3～4個人可以租一台車。然後可以一起分攤租車和整體費用。不然一個人或兩個人分攤租車費用不會划算。因為我以前去美國租車，有時候有租車特價，一天才30多塊美金，但因為沒有當地的車子、沒有當地保險就瞬間拉到上百塊錢。

同時多點人一起去打球，也可以選比較大的車子，開起來也比較舒服，費用也不會太貴，也比較能塞更多的行李。而且租房間也可以選擇比較多。尤其可以選擇一些不在市區的飯店或Airbnb的房間，有車子你們瞬間可以選擇的機會就更大、更廣、更多。像我在北美或歐洲就比較喜歡找Airbnb的短期租房。因為可以和屋主交流，得到一些資訊。同時價格也比較友善，更重要可以去超市買喜歡的食物回來自己煮。

在日本租車也是一樣要有保險費。歐洲也一樣。而這塊最好在事前可以和國外的租車公司確認好每個費用，不然後面到了後，會壞了興致。可是最好要有準備價格可能會和你在email談的不同。因為很多時候，他們在報價可能不清楚你的狀況，所以價格會因為你到當地取車時，他實際看到你的狀況和需求才知道。

There are more people enjoyed golfing in overseas. There are some golf clubs/organization that arrange the golfing in overseas, but nowadays there are more good buddies would go together for golfing in overseas. However, golfing in overseas is necessary to take care the living and book the tee time, the more important thing is the transportation.

When you are in overseas, you do not have car to go any places and you can not just carry your golf bag to take the bus or subway to the golf course. Most of golf courses are located in outside of the metropolitan in Asia, if you do not have car with you, it's hard to take transportation to reach. Therefore, you will need to rent the car to travel the golf course by yourself. The car renting fee and related insurance cost are the important conditions you need to be aware.

In general, overseas car rent cost is not as cheap as the states and insurance is another cost for renting the car. You will need to pay the fee for rent the car and also the insurance . If you go by your own, it will be expensive to take care all of the fees. I would suggest to invite at least 2 or 3 good buddies to join the overseas golfing trip. This way, the costs can be shared and you guys can drive the car with shifting. With 3\~4 guys of a golfing trip, it can rent a better and large car to load the golf bags and more space for traveling. Without the car, you can not travel to some of good hotels or local Airbnb apartment/house.

It's better to have one guy who is familiar with the target country and golf courses in the past, he can work out most of hassles and communications easily. If there is no one familiar with the local, you will not have good experience and result for this trip. Otherwise, it's better to do a lot of searches, calls and booking before departure. The other preparation is to have local friend who can help you work out all the booking and communication. Of course, paying him some service tips is needed for all the works or inviting him to join the trip.

Golfing in overseas is not a simple job, you will need to do a lot of homework, research and booking before reaching out the country. If the target country speaks English, it should work fine for most of situation but each country has different working process and charge rate, you must know all the conditions and costs before making the decision. I would suggest to check other's experience and sharing on the internet. It will help you know how things are able to go and what potential problems it will be?

所以費用上最好有心理準備會有不同。如果先前有朋友已經去過，可以推薦相關租車公司會比較穩妥。而且要瞭解還車時，可以在哪邊歸還，還有油箱要加到多少？因為這都很重要。如果沒有確認好，他們後面會把相關費用從你的信用卡進行扣款。到時候會溝通到累死和曠日費時。把你搞死還要不回錢。所以別怕自己破英文，一定要瞭解詳細再取車。

租車的事解決了後，就是交通了。現在有一堆地圖App可以下載。問題不大。但要先瞭解去的國家他們駕駛的特性和習慣。是左駕還是右駕，一些地標要先輸入到地圖的APP上。還有歐洲很多圓環設計，不是像大多國家都是直接左右轉。這需要去瞭解和習慣。

到當地都不熟，也不清楚交通狀況，最好不要把開球時間抓太緊。不要認為或太相信地圖情資預估的時間是OK，最好預留一些時間，尤其要去機場。別認為時間是充足。如果你安排的球場離市區遠一些，就最好有充分時間，可能需要找路或不熟的路也開不快等狀況。時間應該是你們到外地租車打球最好的武器！寧可早出發，早到，也不要趕來趕去，心理壓力導致發生問題。

往往郊外的路都不是大路，開起來會感覺怪怪的。我之前在美國和歐洲開車都會有這類狀況。明明照地圖指示走，但怎麼路越來越小，人越來越少。所以覺得不對最好停下來，問問當地人。這也是我會建議最好時間抓鬆一些。路走錯還可以有時間開回去。尤其你選在山上或海邊的resort球場。通常不會在人煙頂沸的地方。

很多不錯的球場都會離市區很遠。所以最好可以安排住在球場附屬的飯店/酒店裡一兩天。北美有很多resort的球場都是在荒郊野外，開車幾個小時才到得了。所以一趟來了就住下來享受一下大自然的滋潤和安靜的時光。

這樣打球才不會急著要趕回市區，或其他旅店。完全放鬆不下來。所以我和朋友到海外打球都是行程彈性、放鬆、不趕的設計。這樣開車也輕鬆，沒壓力。重點在海外打球是享受打球和放鬆心情和平時壓力。如果還讓身心背負趕行程壓力，那就別去。因為朋友們一定會彼此吵架不爽。所以事前安排行程時最好大家都同意，不然到執行時，你一言我一句的，口角是一定會。

It's better to check with friends who have been golfing outside of country and collect related information such as golf courses, spending and renting car. Even though you have got the confirmation from car renting company for the costs, but it may have the difference when you get there. Therefore, if you have local friend that can help you take care the car renting, it will be great way to drive locally.

Please bring all the related documents, including the emails with confirmation, condition and costs. This way you are able to be sure all the things are followed with your expectation and avoid extra costs.

The next step is the map. Nowadays there are many navigation and map apps you can use, but before driving, you need to know which driving side is the country you are going to golf? Please entering the locations and destinations of the trip into the map app first. Checking your friends who are familiar with the country about the driving knowledge and characteristic. Sometimes, the local city might not accept credit card for the small payments and make sure you bring enough cash for daily spending.

In Asia, most of golf courses, they required caddie service, but you won't need to pay the tips after you finish the game and most of club houses offer shower room and locker for you to load your belonging. Making sure you are aware of all the condition and facilities requirements.

When you drive to the golf courses, it's better to have enough of time and don't set the time to tight since you are not familiar with local traffic and traffic condition. I used to go early to have plenty of time for driving relax. If your time is tight, you will feel nervous during the driving then you are going to make the mistakes easily.

If you are going to play in countryside for golf resorts, it's good to stay one night for making your trip relax and enjoy the rest of day. Since most of golf resorts are located in outside of the city and take long time to drive, if you do not stay one night to relax, your day will be all day driving. It would not be good for enjoying the golf trip in overseas.

You do not need to set many tasks or destinations for a trip. There is no need to set the overseas golf trip like business trip to finish as many works as possible. Making sure you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the golf and rest. If you drive with your friends, make sure they are ok with the schedule and activities first. When you set the schedule too busy, people will not feel good and comfortable to catch all the things. As a result, to be sure to have everyone's agreement for the schedule of the trip. Even you change the schedule during the trip, you will need to get all people's agree then execute.

這樣比較不會讓行程太趕。如果每天都打不同球場其實會很累。因為開車加打球會累死，也無法放鬆身體和心裡。坐車的人也不會舒服。因為我以前都幹過這些事。所以如果和同伴約好要出去打球，多半會在中間的時間安排一到兩個resort型的球場，這樣可以住下來，泡溫泉，吃好料和睡飽休息。

通常在前面的幾天會安排比較容易到達的市區或市區附近的球場打球。開車也方便，同時可以逛市區的景點。中間時間就規劃去比較遠的resort打球加住宿。後面回來會再安排一個市區附近球場收尾，然後打包回家。所以我都會跟比較熟的朋友這樣一起出去打球。可以輪流開車。不然一個人開真的會累癱。

所以海外打球交通是最麻煩的事。住宿和訂場的問題都不大。因為現在很多訂場的App可以用，住宿一堆可以選。要便宜可以找air bnb，一起share，價格也不貴。都是會找有當地朋友的地方去打球。這樣可以避免問題和錯誤，朋友也可以幫忙訂場或知道一些優惠可以用。也要請朋友打球，吃飯。

在海外開車把時間放鬆其實很舒服。因為歐美地區的郊外道路是很舒服，風景也超優。尤其歐洲，在郊外都像畫裡的風景，小鎮的房屋都很有特色。會提升你的人文氣息指數！不過，最好油箱到1/3就要找加油站加油。因為有一次在法國，要從西南邊回巴黎，高速上一直找不到加油站。最後終於找到，不過油真的隨時都可能沒有。超緊張！

海外打球有很多需要注意，但玩過一兩次後就知道要注意什麼。要充分準備，快快樂樂出門，也要開心的回來。不然會一肚子氣回來。最好幾個球伴們要分工。不然一個人處理和計畫會累死，後面還要被別人嫌。所以如果不是熟的朋友就最好別約這種需要相互分工的活動。

If you plan to play the different golf course every day during your trip, it will be very rush and tired. I have done that before, that's why I do not recommend it. Since you will be rush to catch the schedule and tee time everyday, it will drive you crazy and can not enjoy golfing and trip. That's why I recommend to play outside of city in resort with hotel to stay couple days, you will relax and eat good meals. That's the vacation you need to expect instead of rushing the schedule.

In general, I used to play couple golf courses nearby the city in the first couple of days and check some local landscapes. Then I will drive to outside of the city to stay at resort for 2 to 3 days for enjoying golfing without rushing. After that, I will drive back to city to play another golf courses in downtown for ending the trip. The whole trip takes about 1 to 2 weeks depended on the destination.

It's not a short trip for golfing overseas, therefore, it's better to find your good buddies to team up. Otherwise, the whole trip would become the nightmare for all the members. Moreover, everyone needs to do some works and tasks for sharing the loading. If all the planning, booking and communicating are all on one person, he will be crazy for sure.

Of course, if you guys have plenty of budget, it can outsource to travel agency to take care all the things. But if you want to save the costs and find your own way to golf, you can do it all by your own with all kinds of booking applications and websites. Or you can invite local friends to join the golfing and let him help booking the tee time or get some information regarding the local golf courses.

One tip is important that if you drive to countryside or out of city, it's better to fill up the gasoline without below 1/3\. Since you do not know where is the next gas station and I got one experience that headed back to Pairs but could not find the gas station. Luckily we found one but the gasoline was almost gone. That was making us nervous.

Finally, golfing overseas is fun and great experience. As a golfer, I love to challenge different golf courses and I try to plan and golf overseas every couple of years. But finding the right partners for the trip is key to allow you with happiness. Checking your good golfing buddy to overseas golfing idea, and make sure he has good attitude and mindset for sharing things then you guys are ready to golf overseas.
