It's a simple formula, your swing power + striking on the clubface = the maximizing the total distance. The golf club is made up with golf club head, golf shaft, and the grip. You need to pick up the right specification of each part first then assemble it with your own specification in order to manage and swing the best. There is no standard specification for each of the golf clubs, and you need to build your own one on each of golf clubs. Let's talk about the golf club head. There are many features and elements on golf club head to fit your personal usage and requirements such as weight screws, shaft sleeves, golf club center of gravity adjustment, and golf club head designs. Do not think it's not important to you, if you pick the wrong setup, it will make your shots unstable and inconsistent. Regarding the shaft selection, there are many golfers and clubfitter/clubmaker are focusing this part. Shaft can increase the total distance? I do not think so! I have been building and playing so many golf clubs/ woods by setting similar specifications in order to know the differentiation and performance. With my result and experience, I can't get longer distance if the shafts are new or near new condition to compare. Is it flighting longer with luxury shaft with over USD500 value? NO! I did not get longer with my usage. All the results are within 10 yards tolerance. The reasons why you can get longer distance after playing the new model of the golf club are the condition and golf club limitation of usage. What does that mean? Your current golf club has been playing years with performance decreasing and you compare with the brand new or near new condition of golf club that has better performance condition and good quality. to be continued... 球桿的距離效力在擊中桿面甜蜜點/golf club can't give you the better distance～series 2！～上集 http://www.peargolf.com/article/qiugandejulixiaolizaijizhongganmiantianmidiangolf-club-cant-give-you-better-distance%EF%BD%9Eseries- 中集開始。 當桿身特性都差不多，就算是不同品牌都可以得到差不多結果。如果距離結果有不同，這就是產品實力的差異。而最後就是整體桿子的設定規格需要一致或不可差異10%的範圍內。規格是非常關鍵的一環，就算好的桿身和桿頭，組裝不適合也一樣打起來東倒西歪。 就我以近5年來所設定的driver來說，產品和規格都設定在應該範圍內，桿身桿頭選擇的特性也差不多下，至少我得到的距離結果都差不多。沒有一支說可以暴衝10碼以上距離。至少我還沒有這樣的神兵利器。 那桿身為什麼會讓人感覺有距離提升效果？那是視覺和打出去的球速差異。大家測試球桿一定會用自己目前使用的桿子做為對照組。所以和新桿子就很容易去比較差異。尤其在出球速度這塊會非常明顯，加上現在多數桿身都用高碳布材質，要壓低擊球倒旋，和比你桿子的球速相比，就很立竿見影。 所以新桿身可以做到減低擊球倒旋，球速更快（因為材質強度還是最好的狀態）。當你的球可以從擊球，到飛到空中速度更快，球的滯空時間和你的目前球桿一樣下，自然就是會有更遠的飛行距離。 就是滯空時間比較短，因為球本身的倒旋低，落地的衝力會更大，滾動會更遠。相較你目前的桿子如果超過5年，倒旋量已經不可考，球速像普通車一樣，站站都停，落地角度高，向前衝的力量比向地衝的低。根本滾不了太多。 本文未完，下集請待續。 When golf shaft profile is similar, it will be resulted similar performance and distance with different brands. If you get better distance, that tells you the product quality and technology are premium. The last thing is the specification and it's very important part. If you do not have good setup with the specification, even your shaft, and club head are luxury, the result will not be as good as your expectation. But how come you feel the distance is longer? That's visual and ball speed differentiation. When you try the golf club, you will play with your own club as the comparison to see the differentiations. We always identity the new club is flight fast since the new club is within the performance honeymoon that is still in the best performance condition. When you compare what your current golf club, you can feel the new club is definitely better and flights longer. No mention the recent 5 years new shafts are using strong carbon fiber module to reduce the ball spin and better ball speed. However, if you play recent 5 years golf club with less than 100 times playing condition, you can get similar result without longer 10 yards for majority of golf club brands. Due to the shaft material is upgraded for recent 5 years, we can benefit from that with lower trajectory, penetrating ball speed, and outstanding rolling distance. It's all shaft makers are implementing the better materials on the shaft making and design. Therefore, when you compare with the golf clubs you are using currently which is over 5 years usage and models, you are unable to compete with them for sure. That's why most of workshops and clubfitters are focusing on the shaft upgrading in order to get good performance for golfers to enjoy. However, it's not done yet, the final one mile is on the specification. Most golfers are ignored this part as they do not think it's critical and important to pay attention. To make the new club with the specification for your swing to fit is the serious task. to be continued ....... 球桿的距離效力在擊中桿面甜蜜點/golf club can't give you the better distance～series 2！～中集 http://www.peargolf.com/article/qiugandejulixiaolizaijizhongganmiantianmidiangolf-club-cant-give-you-better-distance%EF%BD%9Eserie-0 下集開始。 光這些地方要贏你的桿子就已經贏得可以賣了。 如果讓你打的桿子規格也是你很容易發揮身體動作的設定，要多個10碼就龍飛鳳舞、舉手之勞。還有一個擊球距離的核心，就是擊中桿面甜蜜點。上面說到桿頭和桿身，要提升桿面擊中甜蜜點，需要把桿子整體的規格設定，讓你可以輕鬆施展你的動作和力量，這才是要提升距離的關鍵所在。 這也是多數球友會視而不見的地方。你會研究、在乎桿頭和桿身哪個品牌、技術和材質？但你不會在意；要如何去設定和裝置你的桿子整體規格。一些玩家或有訂製桿經驗的人，會要求桿子的揮桿重量、桿子硬度或長度。但桿子規格要看整體和使用者本身的狀態才能下一個好的結論。 你的桿子規格絕不會是一直都固定，也是多數進階球友的盲點。一直要求固定的揮桿重量、長度和硬度。但人都會變老、有沒有持續鍛鍊、有沒有固定練球都會影響你身體對球桿的控制能力。這是你要去瞭解和觀察的因素。 而且桿身和桿頭產品是有特性，在設定規格時要去考量。比如有些桿頭和桿身要裝比較重一點的揮桿重量，長度要比較短。但一些莫名的規格堅持，就會把產品原本的效能給制約住，無法發揮最佳的結果。這種狀況最讓我無言，也會拒絕去接受這類的組裝工作。 所以我個人常會對桿子做一些變化和調整。一來是試看看身體對規格改變的影響？二來是研究和實驗不同於目前球桿設定的方式，是否可以得到一些好的火花？也是提升自己在專業職能，不是單純銷售或訂製球桿。 這都是我個人的經驗所得，有別於目前球桿的一些觀念和常識。如何去找出和推薦適合的產品，來進行訂製配置？這是一位技師需要下功夫。同時必須要有2～3個熟悉的品牌產品，來進行深入瞭解，才能找出對的產品進行配置。 我銷售球桿和訂製服務，以提升球友的效能和操控球桿能力為任務。而提升你擊球距離是附加價值。我不會以提升擊球距離為訴求，來做為訂製和產品推薦的核心。當你有一支可以讓你揮灑自如的桿子，有自信去打出你要的球或發揮身體力量？這是我要做的事！ I have seen one thing from my customers who are sticking on consistent golf club specification for all kinds of golf clubs. For example, he wants his driver with swing weight D2 with 45" length and sticks on all his new drivers and woods. Sometimes, he wants to have the same swing weight on irons and wedges. This idea is not right on giving you the best result and performance with the products and gears. First of all, the golf club head, shafts and grips have their own profile and characteristics, you need to fit their way in order to get the good result. Sometimes, the golf club and golf shaft need to build with heavier swing weight and shorter length for delivering the best performance, but the golfers want to stick on what they prefer for the specification. We are getting older everyday and you need to fit the golf club with your physical condition and follow the clue to make the best result on golf club head and shaft. That the right approach to allow you get the consistency of the shots. I like to try the different ways to build the golf clubs and try the new products. With these experiences, I am able to know and learn lots of things things for right and wrong. All my ideas and experience are not fit with current theory or knowledge, but it's what I have learned in past 20 years and that works on me. A good clubfitter needs to learn things by your own and leave the time for yourself to dig more on human dynamic and golf club gears. I can not know all kinds of golf clubs but I stick on 2 to 3 brands to study and build the demos for vertical knowledge then I am able to do recommendation and make the right clubmaking works. My mission of the clubfitting and clubmaking is to help golfers to build the gears that can allow your swing easier and better. You can generate your power through the body then work better on your golf clubs for good results. Gaining the longer distance is just one of the benefits and you can have confident to play the golf clubs when you try to make your next shot!
