# 碳纖維桿面真的可以取代金屬材質嗎

碳纖維桿面真的可以取代金屬材質嗎？

2022年開始就被Taylormade的新木桿Stealth給炒火起來。因為它又是領先對手，率先把碳纖維材質桿面給利用在木桿的桿面上。我個人覺得，這樣的做法至少已經產生一定的效果和話題性。在高爾夫上，已經有不少球友對這個新技術和新材質有關注。當然我也不例外，開始對這個東西進行一些研究和瞭解。

我看了一些Youtubers已經測試了Stealth木桿的影片，我想大家對這個技術最大的問題應該在它的擊球回饋！因為材質差異對於擊球反饋是有直接的影響。金屬材質的回饋就不說，紮實和擠壓的感覺。同時鈦合金的強度更高，感覺更脆。那碳纖維的特性？自然就是彈性！很多球友對碳纖維桿身都有一個印象就是Q彈。

不過在技術的提升下，碳纖維材質的強度比以前要更強。而運用在桿面上，應該可以有不錯的感覺。至少擠壓感會比金屬材質要更不錯。但我也看到Yoububer在測試Stealth和其他Callaway Rouge，Titleist TSI  
木桿比較，Stealth的木桿倒旋量都要比其他2支木桿要高不少。當然這是我個人比較在意的地方。

因為韌性是碳纖維材質的特性，而反應在效能上，倒旋和側旋問題就是對性能的軟肋！如果你的揮桿速度快，擊球撞擊就更容易產生更多的倒旋量。這是比較不妙的地方。當然倒旋和側旋和桿身本身也有直接關係，但我認為，以目前stealth木桿來說，這個問題似乎是很難短期可以改善。我認為還有一定空間可以改善。

這是第一代產品，所以還有時間和空間去提升和改善倒旋問題。因為這個問題會導致最後的距離比其他對手要短上5～15碼的結果。這樣影響大嗎？當然，因為以木桿來說，10碼是一個效能觀察重點。當你的揮桿速度不快，就需要倒旋低一些來得到更多的滾動性。所以這給訂製師有不錯空間去提升和改善性能。

The hottest topic for 2022 driver is Taylormade Stealth! Why? The face is graphite material with 60 layers of carbon fibers. In terms of the technology, we all have the question on the new material of the wood face to perform? Whether or not it's better than current main stream of titanium face? I have the same question as well.

I have been checking with some youtubers for reviewing and testing the TM stealth drivers and new Callaway Rogue. I find an interesting point that the Stealth driver generated more spin rates than other drivers. For that differentiation, it makes the distance shorter than other metal face drivers.

Spin ratio is critical factor for the distance. If you are not a powerful hitter, the spin rate needs to be reasonable. If the spin is high, it makes the ball fly higher and roll less. Of course, if you can swing fast, stealth may generate more spin to make your ball fly shorter. That's the problem for graphite wood face!

The advantage of the carbon fiber face is good for your impact, since the graphite is delivering more soft and bouncing feel. The initial ball speed is fast without question. With my experience, the ball speed is not equal to the distance and rolling ability. That's why I concern the ball spin more than other striking data.

Of course, Stealth is the first generation of the carbon face driver, there is the room to improve the spin rate on following models. We will need to see more evidences and tour players usage in order to determine the new material of the driver face is really working for golfers? However, the spin rate can be worked out through the shaft replacement with clubfitters.

下集開始。

能提升10碼也就是一個檢視基礎，因為低於10碼，都可以歸類為人為揮擊、天氣和球桿設定的誤差。如果一支新球桿，比對手要短10碼，那就別混了。有了面子，卻沒有裡子。對我來說是萬萬不能！那可不可以改善，當然可以但我覺得，最多也減少2～3成的空間。

因為桿面是直接和球接觸的物體，也是產生倒旋和側旋的直接因素，就算從桿身和桿子規格去調整，也是有限。問題無法得到根治。倒旋多，直接讓飛行距離減短，滾動更不用說了，整體下來，就是短。這也是我對Stealth的看法。也是我無法燃燒出興趣來的原因。但TM的產品話題性是沒話說，也是球友們需要去思考的問題，你是否需要更多的倒旋？

當然我們也不能忽視這個技術的任務和好處，TM官方的說法，桿面使用60層的碳纖維結合結果。而且碳纖維另一個好處也是重量輕，這樣的桿面可以讓擊球得到的球速可以提升，同時把省下來的重量，再有效的放置在桿頭其他部位，把桿頭結構做提升和下桿的桿頭風阻有效減低。這些都是TM利用碳纖維桿面的好處。

這個說法和效果是沒錯，但實際可以有什麼效果提升就是要實際打才知道？很多技術或材質都是聽起來不錯，但實際用起來卻沒有太大的感覺或提升。這也是我會看一些Yoububer所測試的數據來瞭解，因為數據是騙不了人。不過必須對TM在產品的不斷突破和創新給予肯定！至少它不會滿於現狀，而故步自封。所以我對於新東西也是有好奇和想瞭解的動機。也是讓高爾夫產業可以不斷走下去。

10 yards distance improvement is important milestone for any new driver or the custom driver. The improvement below 10 yards, it can be driver setup issue, swing problem and weather impact. If any driver gives me shorter distance, I am sure to skip the consideration without hesitation.

The driver face is the direct contact with the golf ball, therefore, the material plays critical key to make the ball impact's performances such as the back/side spins, feel, and ball speed. However, stealth driver issue can be worked out through customization by setting appropriate specification, and fitting the right shaft. For that, it's another story!

Taylormade golf club is always leading the discussion for golfers to chase, but the golfers need to know what exact you need in order to verify which features, materials and technology are better fit for my situation? I do believe other competitor's drivers can make the spin ratio lower by using titanium material face. That's why the carbon fiber on the driver face is a big move.

Of course, we need to admit the graphite face advantage which is light, TM moves the weight to the specific spot of the driver head to improve the aerodynamic and initial ball speed. I would say it's the trade off for the new material face. However, it needs to be tested in order to know the true performance with the new face material for average golfers.

The golf season is going to take off, we will see tour players to use this new gear in the tournaments, if they can play well with good result, I think we all can give it a try. Other than that, I would give Taylormade a thumb up since it's always pioneering for the new stuff and technology on its products. It gives the golf industry an impact to move forward.
