I do think it's similar for all the golf club brands in club head design. If you check the head design features, they pretty much have adjustment of lie/loft angle feature, weight screws, and club head size. Don't even mention putter head designs, it's all the same! However, each brand has its own technology and approach on golf club head features. Is it making the difference? Yes, there are some different in actual play and performance. But if your skills are not in certain level, you are unable to feel, perform and drive it. Honestly weekend golfers are barely to feel the differences. Can you tell the differences of Titleist Pro V1 and other Asian made urethane cover with multilayer balls? Most of high handicappers are unable to tell the details and differentiations. Unless you are single handicapper, you can identify the details. In Short, the key is to build your experience of golf clubs for over 10 years. You need to play various golf clubs through the practical experience to know the different in golf clubs. If you have played a number of golf clubs with various brands, you are able to tell these products' differentiations. If you just play couple weeks or couple times for the club, you can not really know the details. That's why Pear Golf's product review has all details of golf club test. I test the club at least 2 months to 4 months period. I need to know the clubs in various situation, different golf course and weather with the true performance. I also need to know once my body condition varies how the club would react and perform? A big OEM manufacturer can handle more than two brands' products in productions at the same time. With certain requirements of the club heads, OEM makers follow them to make the products for golfers. It tells you that you have the clubs are similar with other golf clubs. Of course there are differences on the details, these details need experienced clubfitter to help you get it out and find the right head to fit you. That's why we need customized golf club since most of golfers are unable to identify the details of the golf club heads and it requires professional knowledge and experience to fit. Lots of golfers like to get the clubs from online but online golf clubs have limited information for you to evaluate. 8 out of 10 purchases with negative result.
