$300~$400碳纖維木桿桿身是目前的主力產品！

木桿桿身是大家進階和訂制的核心產品！而這塊的產品也是我觀察和使用桿身產品多年來的重點區塊。每一年都會測試最新的木桿桿身，以瞭解這部分產品的新技術和新材質。你會問難道桿身廠沒有出其他價格的產品嗎？有！但比例沒有$300～$400的產品來的多和豐富。

因為這部分的產品，得到客人的青睞和預算也是消費的重災區。所以這樣下來，廠商就會把核心技術、最好用的材質放在這個產品區間來。為什麼廠商會把主力產品放在這個價格上？主要的原因在於，市場比較容易推動。好推動在於零售的工坊、球具店在這塊的產品有比較好的利潤去推展和銷售。

所以介紹給球友的產品也都自然會以這塊價格區間為主。當然對於桿身廠來說，這價位也是利潤相對好的部分。所以看到最新的產品大多都是這個價格為主。

另外我們會看到一些大品牌的木桿產品，會搭配的桿身款式也會和你在球具店或工坊裡看到的產品一樣。同樣，我們看比賽轉播時，選手使用的桿身產品也是以這價格為主。在這樣的宣傳和推展下，球友自然會去找這些產品。對於其他產品或價位就不清楚了。

那這個價位的產品就比較好？還是這是廠商設定好的產品內容？對我來說，我使用的桿身也是以這個價位為主，使用的經驗與結果都是很好。關鍵在於這塊的產品重量和硬度分布比較廣。所以對多數的球友來說，你一定可以找到你需要的重量和硬度來配置。也就是網夠大，魚是跑不掉！

因為是進階產品或訂制需要的桿身。桿身的規格分布如果不夠廣，很容易找不到適合的重量和硬度。這對於我在訂制球桿來說是最重要。往往一些不錯性能的桿身，它們沒有50g這個重量產品。要不就是有50g但只有做S和X硬度。也就是軟的硬度沒有做在50g這個產品上。這點比較容易發生在美系桿身裡。

Driver shaft is always the core for clubfitting and it's the advanced golfer's first step to jump in to personal fitting golf clubs. With my experience, all the shaft brands and shaft makers are focusing the driver shaft with price 300 to 400 range as the core product zone. Do I need to purchase the driver shaft with such price? Or is there other price range for selection?

The shaft makers focus the products on this price zone with better profile and the retailers such as workshops are easier to sell with good profit margins. That's the reason why you mainly see such price products on the market. Of course, there are other different products with various price zones, you will need to do your study then talk or check to the local workshops.

Moreover, we can find most of new drivers with the OEM shafts that are the same as shaft makers' new products. It's always come with new drivers for the new driver shafts from shaft makers. It's the way for golf club brands to promote the new shaft technology and the shaft makers are able to promote the new products for all golfers.

The only thing difference is the aftermarket shaft. What is aftermarket shaft? It's produced directly in shaft makers own facilities without outsourcing to China or Asian OEM factories and used high end material and cutting edge technology for the shafts. That's why it costs over $300 to $400 per driver shaft and that can performance better than retail OEM shafts.

The other reason for driver shaft with 300 to 400 price zone can become the majority is the shaft weights and flexes are covered over 80% of golfer demands. Since you can find many driver shafts with this price zone covers the weights from 50g to 80g and flexes from regular to extra stiff. That tells one simple thing is you can find the driver shaft with the right weight and flex.

因為美國市場的球友高頭大馬，力量和速度都比亞洲球友要強，導致他們不會做太軟的規格。怕賣不掉！像LAGP的Tronos就是以DeChambeau的需求設計的產品，桿身強度高，所以一開始根本沒有做50g的桿身。到年底才先有S硬度，最後才做R硬度。也是我一直要求它們要做軟的硬度，不然市場就只有日系的桿身可以選擇。

其他價格的桿身產品呢？有！但實在不多。相對和300～400的產品來比，真的就是有一個系列產品來在低於300的擋一下。而且對多數的工坊來說，都不會去推這塊的產品。因為利潤沒有300～400的產品高，而且要去對產品瞭解才能銷售，這樣的工和時間，它們多半不想投入。

所以球友們要自己去瞭解產品，才能要求工坊找給你，你也不能期待它們會給你一些有用的建議和推薦，因為它們也不了解這塊產品的特性，也沒有試打桿來給你測試。而不是低價的桿身就不好，關鍵是有沒有設定適合你用的規格和硬度？這是大家對桿身的迷失，總是把焦點放在桿身本身的技術和材質上，而忽略掉你才是使用的核心。

高於300～400的桿身產品多嗎？應該說比低於300～400的產品要多。而且大多是以日系桿身產品為主。日系桿身一直都有高級桿身產品，這塊的產品都有市場。尤其在亞洲市場，球友都普遍對日系高價桿身情有獨鍾。但我多年用這些大品牌桿身和小品牌的高價桿身的經驗，其實沒有想像的好，性價比其實很低。只是網路上一些特定的人和廠商在炒作。

高價桿身在一般工坊也比較難看到有試打桿可以測試。所以購買的狀況都比較是盲眼狀態。而這個風險是很高，同時如果買的桿身是小廠的產品，那踩雷的機會是非常的高。所以如果你本身對進階桿身的瞭解度和經驗都不高的話，建議不要隨便跳到高價產品區。先在300～400的桿身玩玩、打轉，習慣和瞭解水深後在考慮兩端的產品吧！

Since US golf market is the biggest one, the shaft makers are focusing the American golfers' profile, they do not play light weight shaft and soft flex, that's why US shaft makers do not make light shaft weight such as 50g and R flex. For example, LAGP's flagship shaft Tronos launches in this year but released 55 weight shaft in December, until recently, they have 55 R flex shaft come out.

That's why 50g R flex or softer flex are Japanese shaft makers' market as Asian golfers are not as strong as American golfers, they need lighter and soft flex to fit their swing speed. 50g with R or softer flex are better fit for them, but US shafts are barely come with R or softer flex in 50g shaft weight.

How about the price below $300? Yes, there are some shafts for affordable price but you need to study it and ask for your clubmakers to get it for you. You may not find the demo club to try out as the workshop needs to build the demo for you to try out and most of them don't invest the money on such shafts because the profile is not as good as mainstream shaft.

I am not saying the affordable price shaft is no good, it needs to get fit and build your own specification to match your golf swing. These are the critical factor to make the shaft become valuable tool for you. The material and technology are not as important as fitting your swing with right specification.

How about the luxury shaft with price over $500? Of course, there are tons of Japanese luxury shafts selling $700 to $1200, in past 15 years I have been using and testing these luxury Japanese shafts, they are over priced and no good as good mainstream shaft.I can easily find major brand's shafts with $300~$400 to outperform these luxury shafts. It's just not as good as you think!

If you would like to know custom golf clubs, trying to get the driver shaft from $300 to $400, you can find the right shaft for you without difficulty but spend some time with your clubfitter to find out what golf club specification is really fit your swing! That's more important than the shaft price.
