2022的高球回顧！

2022年就要結束了，這一年在全球的景氣低迷，大家也過的起起伏伏。尤其後疫情時代，大家之前都被封一陣子，所以從年底開始就很多的出國活動。我個人沒有這樣的感受，因為美國從去年就和病毒共存，生活基本就回到之前一樣。當然周邊朋友都陸續有感染Covid，但都是不嚴重。而在高爾夫上我今年也是重回到之前。就是不斷去打球，買桿子來玩！

今年的新球桿我個人覺得還挺有感。Callaway的Rogue ST，和Taylormade Stealth2支不同特性的木桿，讓我今年打下來各有千秋。說實話，這2支桿子應該是目前我用過的木桿來說，容錯最高，性能也在頂尖的狀態。我很早就說了，新球桿，尤其是木桿類，容錯和性能都是發展的重點。對於一般人來說，高容錯是讓你打球外掛劑。如果少了，打球就變得很挫折！

今年都在紐約周邊的球場打，雖然球場的長度沒有德州的長，但北邊的球場，對於你的準度是有很高的要求。同時球場的視覺壓力是比其他地方要高很多。基本上你在比賽裡看到的高大樹林，在這裡都是標配。球道也比較窄，果嶺也相對小。對於揮桿動作沒有一定的火候，會打到吐血和折球桿。簡單說，這裡的球場很像新竹的新豐球場風格。

當然在紐約打球如果不是在週末，其實打起來挺舒服和沒有壓力。因為打的人不會太多，你可以推球車，一路輕鬆的打。如果後面組打的快，可以讓他們先打。我現在比較能感覺在美國打球是減壓和舒壓的活動。以前打球好像在交功課，或有要打完回去做事。但現在年紀也逐漸大了，對事情也不在著急。只要球場打球的人不多，就用自己的節奏去打。也不會一定要和別人一起打。狀況不好就讓別人先走。

還有美國打球都是自助，你會需要買很多東西。而且需要準備好，比如雨具，球具的保養工具和很多的下場配件。在台灣和亞洲多半有球僮在協助，所以基本帶上自己的球桿就OK，雨具基本不需要。因為台灣下雨多半很大，也會超過半個鐘頭。在美國，雨不會下太久，也不會很大。所以雨具和相關用具就變得很重要。

It's almost over for 2022, this year is not good for economy. The post Covid era is to live with virus, we are back to normal life. People are going out to relax during the holidays. It's big change for us during the pandemic, we have gone through it successfully. Even though my friends get covid, it's able to be cured without difficulty.

With my golf on 2022, I bought some drivers, 3 wood, and iron sets. I get back to my clubfitting and clubmaking works by taking some custom club orders from my members and customers. Of course, I build the golf clubs to know the updated technologies and performance. It's important for me to know the new things, new technologies and trends. in order to provide the right information, and recommendation on the golf clubfitting.

The drivers and woods are getting forgiving than ever on 2022. I have been playing Callaway Rogue ST and Taylormade Stealth drivers this year, it's been so good with great performance and forgiving. I am able to deliver the distance easily and consistently. Of course, I reset the specifications for the drivers and wood to deliver the best control and feel.

It's crucial to deliver the accuracy in New York's golf courses. There are big trees all around the fairway and make you feel stress when you are on the tee box. Therefore, the golf club setup's first priority is the control of your golf clubs. It's not allow you play the maximum performance but the golf clubs must come with forgiving.

It's not like south that golf courses do not have many big trees surround the fairway. You are able to know where the ball should be landed. Of course, such golf courses need more distance and water hazards to get the ball on the green. When you play a number of golf courses with different area, you know what's the strategy and golf club setup to make you play the best!

下集開始。

下半年也買2套新鐵桿來玩，有好有壞，但因為我自己會配桿，規格重置後，也可以讓自己用的虎虎生風。但對於Mizuno Pro 225真的有點失望。外型基本滿分，但容錯和手感上真的沒有Titleist T200的好。鐵桿就我個人用過不少款式的經驗，也逐步走像木桿那樣的高容錯和好性能兼具。但這樣的特性，目前只有在半凹背和中空桿頭產品上得到。

而且越來越多的鐵桿桿身可以配置優質的日系碳纖維桿身。這點確實可以拉高性能和失擊的影響。我個人使用中空桿頭和日系碳纖維鐵桿桿身已經快10年了，對於這樣的組合效果，已經回不去打鍛造和鋼管桿身的組合了。尤其在年紀不斷的增加，體力也會減少下，對於球桿的性能和容錯只會一起越高。因為打球要容易，這些特性就要到位。不然早就不打了。

另外說到碳纖維桿身的走向，感覺目前的產品的成熟度都越來越高。基本從主流的日系碳纖維桿身廠牌，它們的主力產品上，基本都有一個不錯的質量和效果。當然各中有差異，但就我個人的使用感覺，都在一個水準。手感不會差、性能肯定不錯，至少球速在一開始用的時候絕對讓你貼背。當然還是有一些日系小品牌和高價產品。但已經不會像以前那樣去追捧了。

基本上木桿桿身在4萬日幣都是主流，價格高過這個水平，就有很高的水分。因為在這個價位裡，各個品牌都有不錯的產品和各種規格讓你選。一般球友絕對可以找到你需要的桿身。當然在這個價位以下和以上的產品，自然沒有太多可以選擇的空間。對於要進行球桿個人訂製或規格重組的球友，我建議從這個價位產品去選，遇到雷包的機會不會太多。尤其多數的工坊都會有試打可以嘗試，打過就一翻兩瞪眼了。

最後，現在後疫情了，國境也開放，大家可以到外地去打球。讓打球的視野可以拉廣起來，我覺得可以去有自助的海外球場去打，對於打慣有球僮的人會有不同的感受。也會瞭解球僮他們對你的協助有多大？高爾夫的未來也會有更多的科技融合，我們可以期待有更多產品會結合科技的優勢來讓我們打球更容易和舒服。這也是我們可以期待的未來。

That's why you have to know what kind of golf courses you are going to play and the features and challenges of the course.

How about the irons? Have you seen the trend of hollow body for the irons? I have been playing such iron for over 10 years and really love its forgiving, performance and feel. Of course the old fashion golfers would stick with forged and cavity but you can't deny the advantages of hollow body design for giving golfers better result and mis-shot damage.

Again, we are the average golfers, your golf clubs must help you reduce the damage of mis-shots. The drivers and woods are reached such goal with recent technology and design. The irons are moving very slow but catch up the trend without problem. The Titleist T200 are the best irons I have tried in recent 7 years. That's why I am the biggest fan for hollow irons.

However, I am kind of disappointing for Mizuno Pro 225 irons, it's similar design with T200 but the feel and forgiving are not as good as T200. There is no doubt with the design on Pro 225, but when I play it, it's not as good as T200. The other point of the iron is the iron graphite shaft that becomes the key for iron forgiving and performance.

The iron graphite shaft has big move on the materials and technology to make your shot solid and less side spin. That is important feature with steal shaft. However, the good iron graphite shaft gives you better feel, distance and control. If you haven't tried iron graphite shaft, I suggest you to play and you will get the most updated technology on irons.

There are more new stuff for 2023 and hope my 2023's golf is better than 2022!
