長度越短的桿子，桿子的仰角/Lie Angle是非常重要！

球桿長度對我來說是非常重要的一環。而球桿有很多的因素和規格要在意，但不同球桿都有各個規格的優先順序之分。所以這次我來討論球桿的仰角/Lie angle。這個角度是你桿子擺在地面上，桿頭的桿頸延伸到桿身和握把的這個軸線。

現實來說，木桿和鐵桿目前的仰角設計，對多數的亞洲人使用都會讓桿頭有點翹起的狀況。這和你的手長和身高有直接關係。所以對於一些打的不錯球友，他們在鐵桿會去請工坊技師去調整桿頭頸部的仰角。讓擊球可以更加精準和方向更準確。

木桿類別已經無法去改變，也很難調整桿頭的仰角。因為桿頭為鑄造，無法硬板桿頭桿頸。但鐵桿是相對短，加上如果是鍛造鐵桿頭材質，就可以進行仰角調整。但也給大家一個正確觀念：調整仰角是固定都要去調整。因為就算桿頭調整平2度或翹2度，或是桿面角度調強2度或弱2度，桿頭都會逐漸彈回原本的角度。

所以瞭解的球友都會固定一段時間就回去找技師去調整角度。不是調一次，桿頭的仰角就是固定不變。而說到今天的重點：桿子短對於仰角就非常重要。因為當你的桿頭仰角不對，你的擊球就更容易往兩邊方向跑！

為什麼？因為你的擊球下桿，如果桿頭是翹的話，你在操控球桿就比較容易去轉動桿面。但你的桿底是和地面平行，這樣在觸球前，會比較容易吃球朝前方。因為桿底平行地面會和你的手有一個力量去制約。

To me, the lie angle is another factor for irons and wedges. Since the short length of golf clubs needs to have right lie angle for making the solid shot. Short length clubs mean your shot needed to be accurate and precise to the target, but the lie angle of the irons particularly mid and short irons are used to be fit for the lie angles.

Some of experienced and good skilled golfers use to adjust the irons and wedges lie angles for their personal use. They all know the lie will effect their impact direction and impact spot of the club face. That's why it's extremely important for golfers to know particularly the average golfers.

It's hard and unable to adjust the lie angle for wood heads with cast design head. For irons and wedges, they are made by forged stainless material that is able to adjust the lie angle easily for your play. That's why pros and single handicappers get adjusted for the lie angles as they use forged heads.

You need to be aware of the forged heads are able to adjust the face loft, face aggression/offset, and lie angles. But the key is to adjust the angles regularly as the angles will be bounced back to original for certain period of usage. Therefore, when you feel your forged head sole is unable to touch the ground flatly, it's time to go back to workshop for adjustment of lie angles.

所以說，我在之前的文章有提到，wedge的長度最好可以設定比較短一點。這樣你在操控上會更加精準和好控制。同時再把桿頭仰角給調整更可以貼平地面，這樣你的吃球，尤其短切的精準度會非常高。而且吃球的倒旋量可以更好。

當然在中短鐵的仰角都是需要去調整更適合個人的使用和角度。這些是比較細節的球桿設定，也是你要提升你的成績和擊球精準度一些必要的調整要項。一些我調整過挖起桿和鐵桿仰角的球友，回去打後就立刻可以得到不錯的結果。尤其是對於精準度的提升是非常至關重要。

在wedge裡，尤其是短切是，如果你的桿頭仰角比較翹，這對於吃球的紮實對和方向都是不好控制。尤其是吃球，會比較容易去敲球。而且側旋量會比較多。倒旋量也沒有仰角調整過後的多。所以要提升wedge短切的停球能力，先從長度、再來仰角去做。

越短的桿子是高爾夫的關鍵，因為這是技術和個人能力的最高表現。如果你想得到好的結果和減少問題和錯誤，球具是一塊你可以下手和得到更好的結果。或許你的距離比別人短，但短桿是可以討回來的地方。

Of course, for mid and short irons, you need to get fit for lie angles with better performance and play. With my experience, after adjusting the lie angles for the irons and wedges, they feel differently and play better accuracy. It may be the small factor but it plays critical for the details and results. That's why short game needs to look the detail for improvement.

If your wedge head is upright, it will be generated more side spin due to the contact of the ball from wedge face. The face is not contact the ball correctly then the result will become hard to control and unable to flight to your target. Moreover, the back spin is not as much as possible for the lie angle without adjustment.

Honestly, the average golfers do not have outstanding distance like professional golfers, thus your short game and irons need to play solid and consistent. To do the personal and customized irons and wedges will help you get better result and perform better on the swing. That's the part you can gain the respect with your peers for the short game.
