訂製過程的一些因素談！

還有一些有關桿子長度會影響使用的東西要說。 有時候球友用新桿子，桿子的長度不對也會導致你球飛左或飛右的狀況。不管你的下桿路徑是inside out /由內向外、還是outside in//由外向內。如果桿子長度比較長，就會讓你下桿時很難掌握擊球點。就是你會需要更多的力量去拉動桿頭到正確的擊球位置。

所謂的桿子長度比較長，是以你使用上的習慣長度或打得順手的長度要更長個0.25～0.5“的範圍。球桿教科書上會說；可以調整桿面開或關把側旋問題給壓低。但我個人覺得調整長度得到的效果會更優於調整桿面設定。

雖然現在有不少桿頭都可以調整桿面設定。但實際可以得到多少效果還是很難知道。而如果球常跑左，也就是桿頭比較快跑，手的速度力量比較主動的話，長度稍微長一點都可以解決這些問題。

其實在球具量身訂製的領域來說，一些問題都有很多的解決方法。沒有一個特定或固定的方法來解決一個問題。所以只要結果是對你好，不管技師如何調整或使用的方法，都是好的設定。當然很多擊球結果無法從launch monitor的數據瞭解和體會。所以我才會一直都在戶外的練習場進行球具訂製測試。

因為在戶外打球你會更加有感對球的效果，比如球速，彈道，飛行軌跡，擊球回饋等。而球速和飛行軌跡這兩塊，就可以分析的到很多的原因。你在室內的模擬器上很難感受差異或差別不大，但實際打出來的結果卻很有感。

There are something I would like to add for club length, when you play the new golf club, if the length of golf club is not correct, it will effect your strike accuracy and make your swing hard on controlling. No matter your downswing path is outside in or inside out, you will be hard to manage the club head movement.

Here is my definition of long golf club, it's your familiar club length more than 0.25"~0.5" longer. The golf club text book would tell you that you can adjust the club face open or close to reduce the side spin issue, but my personal experience believes to adjust the length is more effective than face close or open adjustment.

Nowadays there are many woods can adjust the face setup, but it's hard to measure the result of the adjustment. If your ball is used to go left that means your club head and arms are aggressive, you can try to make the club length a little longer should worked out this issue.

In terms of clubfitting, there are many ways to work out golfer's issues. There is on only one solution or setup to solve the problem. If the result is good and positive for you, you do not care how the clubfitter works on your clubs. There are many factors hard to be viewed or felt by golfers, therefore, it's better to go outdoor to see the whole ball performance and flight.

In outdoor, you can see the ball speed, flighting time, trajectory and landing. With ball speed and ball flight pattern, it will tell you a lot of things. But in indoor, you are unable to know your ball speed and flight. Everything is calculating by the launch monitor. You can not feel and watch it personally. That will be different in comparing the various golf clubs,

我在訂製測試裡往往會拿一樣長度、桿頭但配置不同桿身，讓球友去感受球的飛行速度和飛行軌跡的差異。讓球友可以明顯感受到桿身不同，就算桿頭和長度一樣下，得到的飛行表現也不同。這就是桿身可以影響和改變的地方。

藉由這樣的觀察和體會，才能去解釋桿身技術和材質對實際使用的影響。還有球的效能與技術優勢的地方。因為這兩塊都是會導致球速和飛行軌跡不同的因素。也是最後影響你距離和彈道最直接的地方。

你在indoor的launch monitor裡可以看出，球的彈道飛行，出球角度，觸球方向，側旋，倒旋，落地角度，彈道高度，飛行距離，滾動距離，桿頭速度等。但這些東西無法告訴你，和讓你感受出不同桿身的效能表現。因為這都是數字！實際感受和眼睛觀察更有效力。

因為我近6年來都是用自己做的700-Chien桿頭在所有的測試桿子裡。所以可以瞭解當中的差別和觀察桿身特性和效能差異。所有桿子長度都在0.5“差異內，桿頭一樣規格，桿頭重量也差不多，所以使用就是單純桿身的差異所導致的結果不同。而這些差異多半都需要在戶外觀察擊球表現才能說明。

這也是我認為美國球具訂製的方式，太著重在室內或室內對著模擬器打，會忽略掉很多無法用數據感受到的東西。同一個桿頭換不同桿身，只有讓你感覺桿子使用上的差異。好不好打，用的順不順的感覺。卻沒有辦法觀察球的飛行表現。

I used to pick the same club length with the same club head for golfers to test. There are only shaft and grip different and golfers can feel and watch performance differentiations. This way we can understand shaft power and feels.

If you can not actually see and feel the differences of various shafts, you would not know how important the shaft can be. That's why we need to set the length, head and weights similar then we can have various shafts to see the differentiations.

It's hard to see the ball speed, trajectory, and flight time in the indoor. Although there are many data you can get such as ball speed, smash factor, side spin/back spin, ball direction, landing angle, trajectory height and so on. Buy the key is you can not feel it and not see the whole flight pattern. It's solid feel and that's how we can feel real thing.

In recent 6 years, I have been using Pear Golf 700-Chien driver head to test all kinds of shafts. I stick on the same head and similar length and weight for testing various shafts in order to know shafts' characteristics, feels, and performances. Even though in the end, the golfers use other driver head for fitting their custom driver, they can still know what shaft is good for them in play.

There are many clubfitting section in indoor and all relied on the data without watching the ball flight and performance. They offer many shafts for you to try out but you can only feel the shaft differences without watching the ball actual flight. Lots of things can not be shown on launch monitor's screen.

我認為可以有launch monitor來協助測試球友的擊球測試數據。因為在戶外，往往你看不到最後球的落點或滾動距離。有launch monitor可以掌握最後的飛行結果。尤其一些打的遠的球友，除非你的視力在1.5以上，不然滾動性和落地位置不見得看得出來。

我的訂製測試裡，就算球友最後不是用700-Chien的桿頭，但至少他知道哪一款桿身的效能表現更適合。或是不同桿身的特性和彈道差異。同時就算是球速沒有比較快的桿身，不見得會飛的比較短。因為球速慢，但有些它的球滯空時間比較長，得到的距離也不會短，有時距離會更長。

再說到大品牌桿頭效能，如果不是買比較冷門的品牌，喊的出名字的品牌桿頭，在性能上都不會差太多。要說差異多半在桿頭回饋，還有桿頭設計本身上。當然材質運用也會有差異，但對於最後擊球結果，我個人覺得各大品牌的性能基本差不多。差就差在上面提到的桿身特性上，和最後桿子組裝的規格，就會影響到最後使用結果。

當然有些桿頭特性會依據使用者特性而有不同使用結果。這就比較細節，比較屬於客製師/Clubfitter的專業範圍。當討論完產品特性和推薦選擇後，最後就是規格配置。因為規格配置都需要依據桿頭、桿身和使用者的特性去設定。不是我喜歡什麼長度、重量和硬度就可以來做。

因為除了考慮使用者本身需求外，也要依據產品特性去設定。比如一些桿頭和桿身適合裝長，如果裝短打起來的效果就不會太好。這都是需要和球友討論分析。在什麼長度範圍可以發揮使用者和產品的最佳效果？這是技師需要去思考和說明給球友瞭解。

最後，訂製球具不是桿子做好就沒事，對我來說，做好後的事最重要。因為需要瞭解球友使用過後的經驗和想法，才能知道是否需要進行後續調整和改變。往往新的客人多半需要保留球桿調整空間，去依據使用狀況來調整。溝通是訂製球具的關鍵，也是two way的交流討論。雖然麻煩但卻是最好的方式。

If you are in outdoor clubfitting, it's good to have launch monitor to help you collect the swing data , particularly your distance is over 270 yards. It's difficult for most people to look long distance objects and for fitting the driver, if you would like to know the detail of ball flight data, launch monitor is an important equipment for you to gather the result.

With my driver's demo clubs, I use pear golf 700-Chien driver as the default club head to let golfers try various shafts. golfers can see the results with different shafts in various performances, speed, trajectory and distance. Sometimes, ball speed is not the only factor to determine the final distance. Some of the shafts can deliver more flighting time with a little slow ball speed. That's why it's better to check by your eyes to feel the ball actual flighting. You are unable to see and feel the ball speed difference through launch monitor.

With majority of golf club brands, the club heads' quality and performance are very similar. Although the design and materials are varied but the result of the ball initial ball speed, and distance is similar. The difference is on the shaft with the profile and characteristic. Of course, the club specification is also different to make the result and usage vary in play.

The club head has the profile to allow golfers to pick with their preference. However, in this part it's required certain golf club knowledge and club experience to select the right head for golfers. After discussing and analyzing the golf club parts, the final part is the whole club specification.

It's not simple to determine the club specification with your preference, you will need to know club head, shaft and grip profiles first then determine what length and weight are better fit for the golfer's usage? You can not just set to your ideal length or weight for playing. Some shaft and club head are good for setting long length for performing the best. It's required certain knowledge and product experience in order to explain the details technology and material features.

In the end, it's not just handed over the club for golfers, then the whole clubfitting is done. on the other hand, it's the job started. Since you need to collect golfers' usage, feedback and thought after using the custom clubs. With that you are able to fine tune the club specification for golfers to make better result. Communication is the key for clubfitting and it's always good to discuss and share your experience and thought to your clubfitter then you can find the best combo.
