Enterprise Golf course!

今年第一場球就是在春假期間，我們安排到華盛頓DC來趟知性文化之旅。而其中一天就讓我放風去打球，我就安排在DC附近的球場，Enterprise來享受我2023的開場秀。我直接在它們官網上預約，因為我第一次打，就安排坐球車來享受，不然會對其他球友不好意思。安排早上11:20開球，提早30分鐘到，到球具店付錢拿球車出發了。

Enterprise球場離DC約30分鐘車程，不會遠但球場裡面是一個公園。今天打球剛好是復活節，球場車也不少，但其實不多。和我同組開球的人也到了，我們都早到，他去練習場練，我是到推桿區練一下。看到果嶺鋪沙打洞就覺得不妙，算了季節交替這樣狀況也是理解。時間快到，我就去開球，另一個老外也開，他打的很不錯，沒有什麼用力就和我的球一樣遠，因為都壓低打，滾的也不錯。

這個球場前9很有挑戰，很像深圳觀瀾湖球場的比賽場子或台灣的東華。球場盡是狗腿洞，而且開球台完全看不到果嶺和球道。真的是盲打！還好有一個導航，同組老外對這個場子也瞭解，他會和我說要打哪裡。我都讓他先打，我球就朝他的球落點打，完全safe！第二洞攻果嶺下沙，也是全場唯一一次。沙子有澆水所以不容易吃下去但也輕鬆脫困。

對半年沒有下場的我，鐵桿前9真的很烙賽，但都沒有掉桿，最多就打短、打在果嶺邊的長草。這次有小幫手，雷射測距儀讓我距離掌握的很好，只是自己的能力沒跟上。超好用，按電源，找旗桿鎖定、距離就出來了。打的很順，前9開球用stealth/Ventus TR Blue 5S，穩到一個無聊，都在球道，最多在長草，連樹林都沒有進去。距離在240～250碼，因為球道偏軟，滾動沒有想像中好。

這個球場難度在地形變化，讓你無法掌握進攻方向和落點。果嶺也比較多變，尤其一些果嶺斜坡很大，真的不好推。但因為今天球場都打洞鋪沙，球推起來跳來跳去，不好掌握。但我今天推桿也很穩定，用新的Scotty Cameron Phantom X5.5，重新設定長度、重量和握把，都是2推結束，有4洞一推。但我有4洞都是從洞口滑過去。因為打洞鋪沙把路線更改了，自己也覺得推桿的掌握變得比以前要穩定。

This is my first game of 2023 and after 6 months I am trying to pick up golf to try the new gears and tools. This time I come to Maryland for golfing with spring break and wife takes kids to Washington DC for a tour. My tee time is 11:20am and arrives 10:45am to pay the fee. Of course I go to practice green to warm up.

This golf course is about 35 minutes driving from Washington DC, when I come to the parking lots, there are many cars already. I have one golfer to team up for today's play, he is playing well and we have similar distances on driver and irons. Of course I have no clue for this golf course, he helps me as my navigator to lead me the right spot of the fairways.

Enterprise golf course is very challenged since the features of the course are up and down hills on the fairways and slop of greens, there are many trees in first 9 and back 9 is not as tough as first 9. There are not many bunkers in the middle of fairways and surrounding the greens. You get damaged, if your tee shot doesn't feature the accuracy. You are unable to see the green and fairways with leg dog fairway design.

The style and challenge of Enterprise are similar with Taiwan golf courses, If you don't take the cart with you, you certainly get the problem on your energy. The golfer Ron plays with me is the best example. I believe this course is not his first time playing but his first 9 is so sharp and I barely catch up with him. However, the back 9 is totally different story since his energy has drained and concentration is not as good as first 9.

The balls are always on the trees or bunkers. It's all about the energy since he carries push cart and the fairway is up and down that spends lots of energy to catch up my speed. I get similar experiences before and realize it's the problem that you can't play consistent. When you use push cart to play and don't team up with someone use electronic cart. It will drain your energy so fast and can't maintain the play in back 9.

下集開始。

今天第二桿都發揮不好，都是標準桿上果嶺再加一個才上得了。再加上2推，都是bogie，只有3洞打Par。沒有抓到鳥！我今天打白tee所以距離上（6350碼）沒有什麼難度，這類球場應該可以控制在85以內。而後9，真的就好打多了，球道也比較寬但也是地形上下起伏，狗腿左右來去。應該說，後9的視覺壓力沒有前9大，樹沒有比前9多，這樣打起來壓力小多了。

前9的球道真的窄，所以我真的覺得稍微一偏就樹林見，很像在臺灣的球場感覺。你要打準度，而球場地形上下起伏，讓同組球友到後9就明顯感覺體力和集中力剩一格電了。準度沒有不說，直接進樹林或沙坑。這就是我對沒打過的球場尊重，必須開球車，雖然加點錢，但遇到這種球場，如果我像平時推車打，後9一樣是烙賽！

今天氣溫是在9～12度。我個人覺得有點涼，但打到第4洞就把夾克給脫掉。太陽也大，必須要把太陽眼鏡和漁夫帽給配上。至少不會像在德州那樣的溫度就好。另外我新的TSR2木桿，距離會稍微比Stealth遠一些，但問題是在握把，因為我配undersize，導致球都帶點左曲。過細的握把就容易讓手有過多的轉動。所以我配Ventus TR Black 5S時就是裝標準尺寸。把問題給修正！

至少Stealth/Ventus TR blue 5S組合真的穩，且側旋和倒旋都低。TSR2/三菱Tensei 彈道比Stealth低一些，倒旋也低，但側旋的壓制力沒有Blue 5S好。當然我把TSR2的桿頭重量也調輕了，減了5g。控制上也比較好但也因為這樣，讓手部更容易轉動，導致球都會稍微左跑。當然這是可以改善，也是我從實際使用經驗去進行球桿調整和改善的依據。

今天打下來約4.5小時，雖然我自己坐車打，但球友是推車，時間肯定會稍微慢。但我們兩個都打不錯，省掉找球和救球時間。打下來非常享受，也得到一個好的假期。我發覺這裡有些打不錯的球友的揮桿節奏都不會快，似乎控制自己的下桿平面和吃球準度。絕不會硬發力打，就算犧牲一點距離但球可以放在可控的位置，才是他們的用意。

我也要慢慢找回鐵桿的狀況，才能讓自己在接下來的表現可以更從容自如。短桿也是沒有很穩定，但這是時間問題，再打個2場球，短切救可以回到軌道。天氣應該也會倒吃甘蔗，球場的質量也會越好，所以也要把推桿給練好，對路徑的分析和判斷要更精準。今年第一場球的表現也是可以接受，讓我可以期待後續的表現了。

The bunkers are tough since the sands are hard to dig in with. you need to play accurately to the sands and push the ball out of the trouble. It's better to use wedge bounce 8 or less for eating the sands. I get in the bunker once at #3 hole, Ron gets 4 or 5 times. I have seen him in and out between the green. There is no water hazard in this golf course, and no need to worry about the ball.

I use one ball to play through the 18 and overall my drivers are as good as my expectation, the TM stealth with Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 5S is so good with less side and back spins. I can always find the ball on the fairway.The back 9 I use Titleist TSR2/Tensei 5S with lower trajectory and spin, the distance is good but the grip is undersize that makes my ball always to the left.

With this experience, I am going to make my new Ventus TR black 5S shaft with standard grip size for better control. I believe it can fine tune the TSR2 becomes my next gamer. The new Scotty cameron phantom x5.5 is also performing great with solid control. Since the green is also sanding for maintaining and about 4 times I misses one putt.

The new phantom 5.5 with superstroke grip flatso 2.0 and 32" is perfect with my body and putting. I remove the weight screws total 40g, and prefer to use light head weight with short length for putter. the whole day I make 2 putts and 1 putt for couple times. I think this putter is going to be my 2023's lineup without doubt.

My Irons doesn't play well and needs more time to get back to my normal. The short game is getting back when I play back 9. Today is about 50 to 55 degree, it's not bad for golfing. I think next month's temperature is going to be better and warmer. This course is good for golfers to come, it's not far from New York and you can plan a short vacation in Washington DC area.
