複合式材質桿頭 vs 純金屬材質!
現在球桿桿頭的兩個陣營就是複合式材質和純金屬兩個。其支持的廠商有Taylormade + Callaway 為複合式材質,對上金屬材質的Ping + Titleist。這幾個品牌就佔據市場超過7成的份額,所以這都是影響你我在購買的決定,而你必須要瞭解材質是的優缺點,才能選擇一款適合你個人使用的桿頭。沒有絕對的答案,看客人需求。
再說一點,就是日系的桿頭多數都是純金屬材質。原因很簡單,就是成本!要知道品牌商,生產球桿和它訂購的數量有絕對的關係。如果你的數量不多,你的單位成本就高。加上複合式材質的生產成本比純金屬的鑄造桿頭要貴上不少。主要需要把碳纖維材質黏到金屬材質桿頭上,工序和複雜度也比較高。
這些行為都是增加成本的因素。當然純金屬桿頭的好處就是擊球回饋上更為紮實、明顯。對球的擠壓感會更為顯著。尤其是桿面為鍛造的合金,擊球手感會提升不少。當然,桿面基本對於複合式或純金屬桿頭都是可以焊接上。所以就算是複合式桿頭,桿頭也是鍛造合金,你的擊球手感也可以很綿密和紮實。
如果以單純生產工序和成本來說,複合式的桿頭需要的做工和複雜度要比純金屬桿頭要更高。會需要更多的人力成本去進行結合、黏結、組裝。純金屬桿頭基本就對桿面進行結合、焊接就好。相對簡單、容易。上漆也方便和容易多了。也·就是說,複合式桿頭都是零件拼裝而成。不是一體成形。
而為什麼要使用複合式材質桿頭。目前的複合式材質就是以碳纖維在桿頭不同部位。把桿頭的重量有效的集中在特定部位,比如桿頭底部。桿頭重量為更加集中,可以控制桿面重心。桿面重心就和你的擊球起發角有關。當然還不只有這樣。桿頭重量集中,可以讓擊球的副作用力更為集中和強大。

Nowadays there are two types of woods heads, one is composit,e the other is Titanium or stainless which is pure metal. There are two major brands using composite, it's Taylormade and Callaway, the pure metal wood is Ping and Titleist. These brands are occupied over 70% of golf wood sales and you need to know about the head materials in order to select the right head for your usage.
How about Japanese brands' woods? There is metal wood mainly since the composite head is more expensive in manufacturing and requires more quantity to start the order. The cost is always related with the materials you are using on the golf club head, the metal head are used for cast most of the cases with forged face.
It's simple production for metal head as the main body is cast with forged face head. Comparing the composite wood, it's like puzzle that build the pieces by pieces. The face, sole, crown are three parts to build and some other models have more than 3 pieces to assemble. That's why it takes more time and manpower to compete the work with high cost.
However, the advantage of the composite wood is able to make the head weight more centralized and located on the certain spot of the head. This way we are able to locate the center of gravity of the head on the certain spot such as low and back or low and front. The CG of wood head is able to make your launch angle for certain trajectory, that's why it's so important.
The another thing is the control of CG location is able to make the impact power and energy more efficient and productive. That's why your ball speed can be fast or be different initial speed. It's all related regarding the head material and design. That's why you need to know it before you make the purchase.

所以擊球的效果和能量會更好。當然純金屬桿頭擊球的作用力是整體桿頭反饋到球上。力量上會比較強大但也不會集中。就像一巴掌打下去和一拳打下去的差別。而如果你力量夠大,一掌的效果會更好,但如果你的力量不大,受力面積大,反而會吃掉你的能量,無法集中把力量灌到特定的點/球上。
那不管什麼材質最後一定要看結果。其實在桿頭的結構設計是非常重要。因為結構設計好,在桿頭下桿速度,和擊球效能的傳遞,是對結果至關重要。而在目前USGA對桿頭的規定和要求下,就算是純金屬,還是複合式都在伯仲之間。因為桿面的反彈係數要合規定。但為什麼還有這些大廠要用複合式材質?
原因在給予桿頭一個理由和故事感!當一個產品要推展時,你的核心價值就很重要。而技術這塊是硬底子,有一個很酷的材質技術做背景,是更容易去說服球友購買的基礎。 同時也是區別自己產品和其他品牌產品的一個重要差異性。所以你問你自己,當你想到複合式桿頭時,你會先想到哪一家品牌產品?答案就很清楚,這也是廠商它們想要塑造的形象!
碳纖維材質運用在桿頭上也不是近期或近10、20年的時間。超過40年以上。而我認為現在廠商的複合式材質運用技術也比以前更好、產品整體的成熟度要更高。就我這20年來使用很多碳纖維材質桿頭的經驗,目前的複合式桿頭的擊球效果和手感都是最好的狀態。也就是技術這塊的提升是非常顯著。我以前也是純金屬桿頭的鐵粉,但碳纖維的質量、效果和手感都不錯,找不到理由說不。
以往碳纖維材質詬病的擊球手感和擊球聲音,在近幾年的桿頭裡都得到顯著改善,甚至和純金屬桿頭比起來也不相上下。這也是我會轉換到用碳纖維複合式桿頭陣營裡。現在球桿的價格不管是純金屬或複合式,都是差不多。對我來說,就是看結果。不好打、效果烙賽的桿頭,不管是什麼材質都不會考慮。選對產品特性,和你的問題和需求可以互補或提升才是關鍵!

That's why composite woods are more complex but there are the companies to use it. Let me ask you a simple question, which brand is using composite wood? Answer is simple and that's the exact thing the brand company wants.
Composite wood is not the new technology or material, it's been the market for over 4 decades. I have been using composite woods from 20 years ago, honestly the recent 2 years' composite drivers are the best I have been using. Technology and materials are better than before, this technology is mature for companies to implement. The impact feedback, and result of the performance are better than ever.
That's why I use composite woods. I was a fan for metal wood but composite woods are moving fast and mature than metal. For average golfers, you need to see the results of both woods in order to know which one is better fit? I would suggest to have a clubfitter to let you try both woods with various setup and shaft selections. You will see the differentiations and find the right wood for your play.
