高爾夫的設備就是沒有標準化的運動！

高爾夫的裝備算是所有運動裡頭最多了。其他運動多半一個工具裝備或球就可以來玩了，但高爾夫，你要球，球桿，服飾和球袋等配件。數不完！而問題是，這些裝備和配件是沒有一個統一標準。如果有標準比如長度、重量和規格都有可以依循，那廠商在製造產品就可以維持在一個標準範圍裡。

有人會說，怎麼會沒有標準，USGA和R&A不就制訂很多球具，球和比賽的規定嗎？這不就是標準嗎？我所謂的標準是指，如桿身的硬度標準，現在各家做的東西都不同，S硬度，都不同。你除非對特定品牌瞭解，使用過，不然A牌的S硬度，可能是B牌的X硬度。

再說室內模擬器好了，你去上揮桿課程，教練會使用揮桿模擬器來協助你瞭解你的擊球數據。但就我的經驗，市面很多種模擬器品牌，而每一家的數據都沒有統一和標準。也就是說人一樣，球桿也一樣，但在Trackman打的數據不會和在Flightscope或Foresight一樣。

有時候和國外技師在討論球桿的表現和數據就會有這類的問題。如同桿身的硬度或硬度頻率測量器一樣。不同品牌的儀器測得的結果就是不同。更別說不同品牌，同一個硬度就是不同數據範圍。也就是在這個產業裡，沒有標準化，只有市佔率的問題。

也就是說，如果你這個產品在市場的市佔率夠多，自然大家就必須要用你的產品或儀器來使用。因為當使用者多，討論的數據和範圍就很容易在同一條線上。這也不是說其他市佔率少的產品或儀器就不精準，不好用。就是市場效應。所以我喜歡用雙眼去觀察，勝過看數據來評估。

There are many golf goods, accessories and equipments you can buy. Other sports may only have couple of accessories to operate, but for golf, you need lots of personal stuff to play. Of course, it's all personal feature and there is no standard for golf equipments and accessories. That's the fun part!

There are USGA and R&A to make the standard and requirements for all clubs, balls and rules, but not all the details are ruled by USGA and R&A for the golf equipments. Let's say shaft flex, there is big difference for S flex between A company and B company. That makes golfers hard to select the right flex to play if they pick different company product.

One more example, for launch monitor, you can get all kinds of swing data from launch monitor but if you discuss with your friends or clubfitter for the detail of data, you might have different data if others use other brand's launch monitor. Since there are different on the result for Trackman, flightscope and foresign. That's the difficult part for golfers to discuss on data regarding the swing profile.

Sometimes, when I discuss with other clubfitters for club frequency, it would have similar result as we might use different frequency analyzers to get the result. That's the difficulty of golf equipment, there is no standardization for all the equipments. In golf industry, it's only about the market share instead of standardization. If your products can get as many as possible for market share, people will need to get your stuff in order to fit the trend.

That's why Trackman is popular because most clubfitters and major golf equipment brands use it. If you bring the data on the table with Trackman, people buy it without questioning. That doesn't mean other launch monitors are not accurate, it's only the matter of market shares. That's why I used to evaluate the performance with my eyes. It's easier and direct to see the result and differentiation.

產品、配備和儀器標準化，對從業人員和終端消費者都是好。因為得到的產品和服務都可以有評估的標準。也可以維持好的質量。沒有標準化的依據或規定，就會導致最後的結果有很多灰色地帶或各說各話的狀況。

這種狀況尤其在球具這塊和訂製服務裡最常看到。因為我有時會聽到一些半桶水的技師會說，你桿子打不好，或沒有達到預期效果就是你人的問題。把問題推回到使用者身上。這是最要不得。因為我就是打不好所以才希望球桿可以讓我使用更容易和彌補我一些問題。

任何人都可以訂製球具，誰說新手不行訂製桿子？這都是市面上人云亦云的錯誤訊息。因為在高爾夫沒有標準化，找好的和專業的技師就是最重要的一件事。因為兩光的技師和說一口好桿的技師不少。關鍵在於他們根本就沒有真正去瞭解使用者本身和對相關產品也沒有深入瞭解。

沒有真正對這塊專業下功夫就無法提供有質量和可以評估結果的方式。好的技師可以讓客人檢驗結果，因為這在整個訂製過程，都有交流討論可能的結果和預期的結果。使用結果是可以被檢驗和期待。這就是把服務變得可以標準化的方式。

標準化在高爾夫是不存在的名詞。但對於好的技師和產品都可以讓服務被檢測。對於一般球友最好的自救方法就是累積更多對球具經驗和學習球桿的知識。唯有自立自強才能避開問題和錯誤！
