Heritage Ranch Golf country club

來德州也有粉絲來相會。這次和在地的球友Darren打球。他帶我打Heritage Ranch country club，開車要半個小時。這次就就有點像在台灣打球的感覺，需要特別開車去一個地方，而這個地方稍微遠一點。但也是一個私人社區。球場也在社區裡！今天同組的老外就住在這個社區裡，打到倒數第二洞就說他們收工回家了，臉上直接掛三條線。

他還有自己的球車，夠屌了！他帶他的孫女約12歲左右一起和我們兩個打。很細心和耐心的指導她。他們非常有禮貌和規矩。都會問可不可以打或先推等，也不會亂踩果嶺。這就是高爾夫禮儀。小孩的動作就是有雕琢過。一開始都打得不錯，但後面可能體力和太陽溫度越高就不穩定。這是肯定。大太陽下打球體力消耗特別快。孩子不懂，越打不好、越不知所措。

這球場聽Darren說算不錯，管理還到位。訂2點開球就2點才能打。也有練習場，我不想去練球，因為太熱很耗體力。前九節奏比較快，因為後面組打的快，非常有壓力。開2洞，用Epic Max LS不順手，換另一隻洋梨700-Chien就上球道。距離也出來。打好也都有250～260碼。短桿和鐵桿就時好時壞，不穩定。基本上，這個球場是平地球場，球道多半是寬廣，後9 out course出發，比較簡單。前9九比較有難度。

現在溫度都在90幾度/30多度狀況。汗水像水龍頭一直流。不停灌水，打得非常累。所以以後自己打，就打9洞就好。這樣的天，真的打18洞非常累。當然這邊沒有像台灣那樣潮濕，所以不會悶，只是沒有很多樹可以檔太陽。只能給它烤！這球場的難度在距離夠，地形有起伏，但不是像山地球場那樣坡度大。所以球位落點比較重要。也是練球、試桿子的好地方。

今天都沒有下沙坑，這邊沙坑比較多，尤其在果嶺周圍，是很有考驗。打美國的球場，比較友善，難度不會太高。我們打白梯，距離是6500碼。所以打起來也挺爽。木桿都還可以發揮，就算打歪也都還在球場。掉4個球，2個球開到球道上，找不到，後面組有壓上來，就直接補球不找了。有點悶！一個是打到長草也是找不到。另一個直接打到樹林，因為我都是在最後的2洞就沒電。靠意志力打完。

I have the fan in Frisco and invite me to golf together, his name is Darren. He has been following my website for over 10 years and this time we have the chance to play a round. He books afternoon tee time in the Heritage Ranch country club located within a private community and it takes about 30 minutes driving from my place.

We were playing with a pair of the grandfather and his granddaughter. His granddaughter is about 12 to 13 years old, he is teaching her nicely with patient. I will take my son to play once he comes to Plano. They are living in this community and have their own golf cart. That's good to live next to the golf course and you can have your own cart for convenience.

This golf course is very well organized with good condition for the fairway and greens. The temperature is hot with 92 degree, I have drunk lots of waters, it's tough to play in such weather with too much loading on the body. I run out the battery in last 2 hole with mis shots and unable to stay focus. I think for such weather I will play 9 holes without getting too hot with my body.

The challenges of this golf course is the distance, the total 6500 yards with white tee, you need to have good distance with your golf clubs, otherwise, you will play hard for sure. There are many bunkers around the green, accuracy is the key to avoid the bunkers. It's difficult to get out the bunker, if you don't know how to lift the ball from the sands.

下集開始。

夏天打球到後面2～3洞就容易集中力也會沒電，打動作都還有，就會給它打壞。開球是2:10pm，打完18洞是6:10pm左右。因為這裡的球車都配置GPS平板，會顯示第幾洞，距離和地形等。很好用，所以我就以我目視加這個導航來決定要打多少。對於沒有球僮的一般球友是很貼心的設計。不需要看資料，也可以得到離果嶺的距離和瞭解球道設計。

果嶺狀況一般，但速度挺快。超過9的速度。每次都推大了。需要累積更多的經驗，才能把閱讀果嶺能力給提升。推法和桿子都沒有問題，掌握的符合自己的期待，只是在路線判斷和力量/距離的掌握，還需要加強。美國球場的果嶺速度都不會像臺灣那樣慢。路線是掌握到但力量都太大，過不少。而且每一洞的果嶺速度都差不多。品質是沒話說。會比在練習場的練習果嶺上要更快一些。

今年美國疫情已經逐漸好轉，所以高爾夫就越來越火。很多人都會來打球，所以球場也是人滿為患。今天這個球場有球隊來打球，所以停車場也是一位難求。真的感覺是在臺灣北部球場一樣很多人，開球還等10分左右，前面有2組。但打的節奏都很快，因為我們幾乎都不找球，看不到球就直接補球打了。所以在臺灣或大陸那種找球耗掉時間和人力，基本在這是不可能。但這邊沒有巡場，大家都很守規矩。

感謝Darren讓我長經驗，打好球場。在Plano有人可以一起打球。這裡打球都有禮儀，不是隨隨便便，果嶺上尤其重要。雖然沒有球僮，但該有的禮儀和尊重都給到位。都是一顆球打到底，沒有打壞再打一個。當然這是要有底氣，不然球飛來飛去，在這樣的天裡，就真會中暑了。併組就是可以和在地人交流和學習。你會無形中去知道一些事和觀念。

現在打球旺季，就算是平日打也有不少人。本來打算打完球，到會所的餐廳喝點東西，餐廳也是幾乎滿的。所以就去外面的餐廳去吃喝喇賽。雖然熱但不悶，風是涼的。打下來也是累，但還可以回去整理球具和做點事。看來這邊打球還是相對舒服。 到晚上8點半天才會黑，所以打球可以下午4點開球都沒問題！

My problem is I can't stay focus during the 18 holes since the summer time, temperature is high, my mind is unable to stay focus for long time, generally the last 2 holes are my limitation that I will have mis shots from time to time. My shot is straight without problem, but the direction is not correct. That's the evidence my mind is out of control but the body is still working good.

The green condition is average, and the speed should be 10 to 11. I can't control the distance with my putting in this golf course, it's always too much power with passing the holes about 2 steps. It needs to build the experience of putting fast green speed and the direction is ok with my reading the green ability. Since the driving range's practice green speed is not as fast as this one and hard for me to catch Heritage range green.

There are many golfers to play during the weekdays and the first 9 holes are so stressful as the group behind us plays so fast. We have to keep up the fast tempo and I don't even try to find the ball if I can't find it at the first time. That's the way when you play golf in the states, we do not want to let other golfers feel we play slow, but the girl is hard to catch up since she is still not experienced for golfing. That's too much for her.

The golf cart has tablet with each hole's information and GPS navigation that can provide you the yardage information when you play. I can use that information with my visual evaluation. It's so convenient to play with ourselves without caddie. I like it well and do not need to check the scorecard for the information.

I appreciate Darren for invitation today, it's fun and also gains the experience for the golf course. Now I have a good golf buddy to play in Plano. The only thing I worry is the temperature! Maybe next time I will try 9 holes to see how my performs and my body condition? The restaurant is so crowded as well so we go to other place to chat and drink. What's a wonderful golfing day!
