擊球模擬器重點不在準不準/Launch Monitor is not about the accuracy！

現代化的高爾夫裡需要很多儀器和科技工具，來協助球友瞭解事情的真相。而在近10多年來，由於球具品牌商針對職業選手的球具訂製上，都利用擊球模擬器來進行瞭解選手的擊球資料，以進行球具個人化的任務。而這也連帶讓坊間工坊的儀器和工具進行提升。

現在工坊需要電腦化的擊球模擬器，來協助技師進行瞭解球友的擊球數據，以進行訂製的產品選擇和規格設定參考。而當然也有一些球友口袋錢飽飽，也會想買擊球模擬器來自己測試。就會有朋友或技師問我，哪一款的擊球模擬器比較好，比較準？

其實我從15年前就買擊球模擬器，那時候還沒有Trackman或Foresight等品牌，市場比較廣為使用的是Vector。 因為多數的工坊和訂製球具點大多用這款，所以在討論數據時也比較能對得上相關的分析和討論。而這也是我的重點。因為市場上在科技產品來說，準確與否已經不是重點，關鍵在於多數人用什麼品牌和產品？

難道模擬器的精準度不重要？不是。是因為這類產品在科技的進步下，不同品牌產品的精準度其實沒有太大的差別。也就是說，精準度不是考慮產品的關鍵。而是在於多數工坊和球具商們用那種產品？因為當多數技師和工坊都用一樣的產品，你在討論數據和分析時就可以無接縫的瞭解數據和相關關鍵因素。

為什麼Trackman火，那是多數的球具商和一些有錢的工坊們都用它，所以今天在討論相關數據和分析擊球動作，都是以trackman裡頭的分析項目和測試因素來討論分析。比如smash factor，就是trackman裡頭的擊球紮實度（我個人的翻譯）。

Nowadays there are many high tech tools and equipment to help golfers work out the golf swing and find out the solutions. Since golf club makers are using launch monitor to help professional golfers build their own specification golf clubs, it's becoming the standard for golf club workshops and custom fitting stores to implement such equipment for gofers.

The reason why we need the launch monitor is getting the details of your swing data. It's very difficult for golfers or outsider to know the golf swing and with launch monitor, it tells you something like your swing speed, clubhead speed, clubhead path, impact quality and so on. These data is important for golfers to know yourself and each data is able to tell your swing issues.

I have been using launch monitor since 15 years ago, it's vector pro. Since it was very common for most of workshop and clubfitter to know golfers' swing information through the launch monitor. That's why the launch monitor is not about the accuracy, but it's how many clubfitters, clubmakers and professional golf club engineers are using?

The more insiders are using, the better understanding and common data we can use and understand. Different launch monitors have the data differentiations, if your data is tested through majority of launch monitor, you are able to pass the data to various clubfitters and clubmakers to know your situation and swing issues.

I do not like golfers to stick on certain launch monitor, since the data is not really helpful to them. The importance is the story of your golf swing through the data. Average golfers do not need high accurate data for the golf swing as their swing is not consistent and stable. Comparing pros their swing are consistent and able to perform various shots with their swing abilities. That would need high accuracy launch monitor to see the details.

不同品牌的數據結果都會有差異，但其實多數球友不需要去在意那些差異性，因為你的動作和擊球穩定性還沒有需要去考慮那些差異。除非你像選手那樣動作穩定，擊球可以控制和隨心所欲，這樣不同品牌的數據結果就會有影響。這也是在選手等級的訂製都是用trackman。

對一般人來說需要用到像trackman嗎？不太需要。但其實另一個在美國高市佔率的擊球模擬器是Foresight。 就如同當初的Vector一樣。Foresight的產品是廣為被工坊們來利用分析擊球數據。當然它的價格沒有像Trackman那樣高高在上，但也要2萬美金。

對於它的數據來說也是一樣精準。一點不會輸trackman，而就是多數工坊都使用，所以在討論數據和分析就有共同性。我自己也用foresight，對於揮桿動作和擊球的分析來說，就夠用。和其他技師討論也可以有共同性。數據上也可以快速理解和分析。

其實對於用雷達、紅外線、快速攝影鏡頭都是目前這些商用（工坊和球具商）模擬器的基本配備。而Trackman的貴還在它需要每年去做軟體的續約。這就不是像其他產品，買硬體配軟體。那你需要在意你測試的環境和儀器是否為trackman？不重要，重要在於技師的功力和技術分析能力。

擊球模擬器得到的數據是死的，重點在技師如何去看數據和分析、討論這些數據背後的意義與問題？每一個數字後的物理原理和潛在問題？環環相扣，因果相連。同時是否可以提供相關改善和解決方法，才是好技師的關鍵。
你只要知道你的數據是屬於高、中、低，不同範圍就可以。不需要去執著在細節數據裡幾十或幾百的數字差別。因為你還沒有到需要在於那些百位以下的差異。這是避免走火入魔、忽略問題核心。

要懂得從數據裡問題和找相關解決方法，不是半吊子的技師就可以做到。多數的技師就是照本宣科，念數據。但數據代表什麼，為什麼你會得到這個數據，因為你的動作的哪一塊所導致？這都是因果關係。所以哪一家的模擬器都不重要，重要是你有沒有解決你的問題？

There is no need to care the detail differentiation, since your swing is not as accurate and consistent as professional golfers. All you need to worry is why I result in such data? these data's physical idea and definition, and how to work out and improve my swing problems or custom my own specification golf club?

There is other launch monitor brand called foresight that has many golf workshop and custom fitters using it. It's not as expensive as Trackman but it will cost around 20K. For the data accuracy, Foresight is as good as Trackman. I am using foresight as well and no problem to catch the swing data for custom fitting service.

The good thing with using foresight is to communicate with other clubfitter and clubmakers without problem. Since we are all using foresight that understands and analyzes with all the data from the equipment and sometimes to share and discuss cases without the gap.

It's no about the launch monitor's data accuracy, you need to find the right and capable clubfitter or swing coach to help you work out the swing issues and understand the reasons why your swing results in the wrong directions. Furthermore, to build the right golf clubs to help you work out the swing problems.

To detail the data or which brand of launch monitor is not the core thing for you, by using expensive equipment to get the data it would not let you work out the problem, the data just tells you what's going on with your swing and you still need someone who knows the swing to help you find the solutions. That's the whole thing you need to care about.
