你覺得個人測試球桿是在室內還是室外比較好？

在美國做球具訂製很多都在室內。台灣也大多在室內進行。室內進行測試當然有擊球模擬器和冷氣和舒服的環境。而這一派的人的論點在於：室內可以排除天氣和風的影響，看出使用者對球桿的最好結果。

這論點看似正確但卻不務實。我只要問一個問題，就解決了。你下場打球在室內還是室外？答案很簡單。高爾夫就是室外運動，而且喜歡高爾夫就是那種去挑戰大自然，同時觀察大自然的細節變化。因為就算晴空萬里，沒風狀態，可能在你打球的高度風可是吹的亂七八糟。

很多狀況你無法用肉眼看出來或身體感覺出來。這就需要經驗去幫助你。我打球比較喜歡後面打，因為有時候就是要觀察前面打的狀況，尤其看球在空中飛行的狀況才知道要用哪一隻桿子來進攻。因為別人就是最好的示範。

而這些狀況就是最直接也是觀察球桿本身的實力。因為室外不太可能都一點風都沒有。濕度，空氣密度和溫度都會影響到球在空中飛行的速度和飛行時間。在室外測試才能最有可能去模擬，你後續可能會有的結果。

我一直都認為訂製的測試最重要的關鍵在於測試的過程和環境。如果這幾個重點沒有構成或沒有，你得到的測試數據或結果，就無法和你後續下場的結果有高度參考性。這也是球具訂製為人詬病的地方。因為訂製了不見得會更好或達到自己先前的期待。如果測試環境不對，自然會有這類高度落差的結果。

Most of golf clubfitting is in indoor room, of course, indoor provides the best environment for golfers without wind and weather issues. However, for me that's inaccurate testing result for the indoor with true actual factors.

It's simple for one question to answer clubfitting should be proceeded on indoor or outdoor? Where do you play for golf? Of course it's in outdoor golf course. We play golf in outdoor and certainly we face lots of issues and challenges on weather, wind and environment. You must analyze the whole situation then make the best decision or setup the plan to play.

Even it's the sunny day, you have to calculate the wind direction and speed for your ball landing distance. That's why it's fun for golf, since the challenge is different all the time and it drives you go further. Some issues are unable to see it, you need to feel it. That trains you to use all you have from your body to know how to play the best shot and make the best choice of your right club.

Indoor would not give you the fun and situations like outdoor. Clubfitting must simulate the outdoor situation as close as possible then the result will be validated or worth to consider. I have got some of my friends and members said indoor test can generate good result and data, but once he plays in outdoor, the results are so uncontrolled and different.

Different weather will give you various testing result and data. Humidity is the factor you need to consider when you play the long shot. High humidity will drive the ball shorter due to too much resistant of air traveling. The indoor lunch monitor can not calculate it for actual flight result.

The launch monitor is to calculate your swing speed, impact accuracy, launch angle, ball speed and distance. If you add the weather issues, humidity, wind speed, and fairway design, it makes the whole thing complex and your shot will be the different result in the end. I do believe the clubfitting needs to be similar with what you play in golf course then you are able to get the right and useful data to evaluate.

下集開始。

這就如同現實和理想的差別。就算我知道最理想的狀態和結果，我現實也做不到或達不到，那這樣的測試目的是什麼？我覺得最好的測試環境是室外加雷達擊球模擬器最好。因為如果擊球的球友距離夠遠時，我們可以利用模擬器去看到後面的結果和倒旋量等數據。

因為如果我們的眼睛沒有好到可以看到280碼以後的狀況，那就需要借助科技來觀察擊球表現。但室內我個人覺得還是搔不到癢處。很多在室內測試買下球桿，到後面都打不好。因為室內和室外有視野的差別，這也會影響到擊球的心情和穩定性。

室內的環境適合做揮桿動作的練習和模擬。對於動作教學上比較好。因為沒有外面和環境的影響。就是教練和球友的互動。測試結果也可以瞭解揮桿路徑和相關數據。就算數據不是精準，也不會對球友產生影響。

如果你想要一個最有可能你下場會得到的結果時，下場要試球桿最好選室外。因為你雙眼和身體都可以感受到球桿的表現和飛行。千萬別被計算出來的結果所騙了。因為你下場不見得可以得到你要的結果或室內測試的結果。只能相信自己五官感受到的結果！

That's the differentiation of ideal and practical results. The indoor result is the best condition without actual influences, but it's impossible to have such condition in outdoor play. I do not know what's the purpose of indoor testing? We are not trying to get the best performing data, we are trying to get the most reliable practical result for the golfers.

If you can tee shot your driver over 280 yards, you have to have tracking radar feature of the launch monitor for capturing the whole flighting results and rolling. If your eyes can not reach over 280 yards, the outdoor launch monitor should be the best equipment to help you get the complete picture of your ball performance.

The best way to use indoor launch monitor is swing lessons. It doesn't require to have accurate result of the shot, the golfers and swing coach can focus on the swing with simulator to know why the shot is generated and resulted? Indoor allows you to focus and work on the swing.

That's why I suggest people to do the outdoor golf clubfitting instead of indoor. Using your eyes and body to feel the weather, wind and fairway challenge. Launch monitor's data is just a assumption, the best and most accurate data are from your eyes. That's the best launch monitor you have for tracking the ball flighting. You do not need to stick on the number differentiation, and you know it spontaneously.
