你認為球桿哪些特性的優先順序為何/What's golf club characteristics？

球桿對多數人來說都是一個看似簡單卻完全不清楚的產品。很多名詞或功能都有聽沒懂。如果你愛打球，這些球桿的無字天書，就需要瞭解，如果一知半解，就無法去選擇適合自己需求的球桿。而這只是最基本的球桿知識罷了。

球桿的特性基本有下列幾種；
1. 性能 - 只有著重在球桿的距離，球速、彈道等性能表現。這也是球桿的硬道理，是大家會注意的特性之一。

2. 回饋 - 對於不同球桿都會有不同的使用回饋，每一支球桿感覺都是獨特結果。在我的過去測評裡，就算同一個桿頭配置不同的桿身，最後會得到的回饋也會不同。所以使用回饋是很奧妙和多樣。同時也是非常主觀和個人意識的結果。

而每個人都會有自己喜歡的回饋感覺。不需要去和別人一樣。也不見得貴的桿子就一定會有好的回饋。對於亞洲人來說，回饋這塊的表現會比較敏銳，也是很多球友們在意的一塊。

3. 價格 - 買產品都會評估價格。每一個人對價格接受度都不一樣。價格是廠商給予球桿的價值總合。而球友要評估它的價值是否和你需要的功能和特性是符合？在我過去的經驗裡，價格和性能、回饋沒有直接的關係。

完全看你自己需要來決定。球具店和工坊的技師或老闆們，往往有充足的產品知識，可以提供給大家一些建議和高性價比的產品。當然現在很多網路的網紅們，也有一些訊息可以給大家參考分析。更重要，現在產品的價格五花八門，同一個產品可以有不同的價格或折扣，這就各憑本事！

4. 功能和材質 - 產品多半會配置一些不錯的材質和功能，這樣可以提升產品的賣相、性能和手感。當然如果使用的材質和功能都是很屌的話，自然可以提升產品的優勢，比如現在很多的複合式材質桿頭設計、配重螺絲、可拆換桿身、高噸位碳布......

不過很多功能都是華而不實或多此一舉。一般球友根本不知道如何去設定適合自己使用。所以看似功能豐富，卻不會用或不懂怎麼用。

What is golf club's characteristic? Most golfers don't know a lot of golf clubs' terms, technology and materials. All we know is brand companies telling us how much yardage we are able to gain? How good this club can help you play longer? If you do not know some key terms and technologies, it's hard for you to select the right clubs for your requirements. This is what I am going to talk for today.

There are some golf club important characteristics below and let's look into it.
1. Performance - Of course, with performance, it talks about the ball speed, flighting, trajectory and distances (carry and rolling distances). Most of golfers care it more than others.

2. Feedback - The feedback is the overall feel from a golf club given you with physical present. Every golf club feel is unique and unable to copy exactly. With my reviews from peargolf.com, the same golf club head with different shafts, the result of the feedback will be varied as well.

If the clubhead and shaft are changed, you are not going to have the same feel. Before you make the change of your particular golf club, you must be aware of that. The feedback has no standard, and it's very personal. All you have to care is what you feel?

3. Price - Pricing is always the key element for people to purchase. Everyone has his/her own budget for the golf clubs and the brand companies are given the prices with a total value and quality for selling. Honestly, there is no direct connection with performance and feedback on pricing. As a result, the expensive golf clubs do not give you the guarantee for longer distance and great feel in usage.

However, nowadays there are many ways of purchasing channels such as online golf club stores, social media club shops and local pro shops, you can always find the best price for the golf club through discounts, special event or coupons.

4. Features and materials - Most of golf clubs come with specific features and functions to help golfers work on the particular purposes and play. As matter of fact, most of features and functions require the golf club knowledge and experience in order to set it up correctly for personal usage. It's good for clubfitter and clubmaker to setup the right specification for golfers.

In short, lots of features and functions would not work for average golfers, on the other hand, it makes golf clubs more complex for golfers to play. It's kind of helpless and create more hassles.

5. 易打和容錯 - 這就是一般球友的罩門。但大家都沒有很在意這塊，也不懂如何去瞭解或測試這兩個特性？大家反而在意性能和回饋。就算可以打的很遠，但10球只有2球可以打直和打遠，剩下8球都歪七扭八，哭天搶地，是在搞笑嗎？

這是球桿設計的硬道理和硬技術。也是近20年來球具大廠們所努力發展的重點。 我個人非常在乎這一項，很多的技術和材質都是以提升易打和容錯，可想而知，它的重要性是可以排前三名。也是我買球桿的關鍵因素！

6. 操控 - 這就是桿子的規格設計了。桿頭、桿身和握把的排列組合。而桿子配置什麼桿身、設定的長度、揮桿重量、桿頭重量、握把材質重量等，都是直接關係球友發揮的因素。就算再好的材質和技術，如果規格設定不對，你也無法發揮你的速度、力量，進而產生最好的擊球結果。

7. 外觀設計、顏色和品牌 - 這塊是比較個人爽度的喜好，沒有對錯。但有時候對某些人來說卻是極為重要。過去幫球友一些進行球桿訂製的經驗，往往到了最後推薦產品時，球友才說，我喜歡某些品牌或希望要什麼顏色或外觀設計等，超無言。

個人主觀往往是很關鍵的因素。所以當你有一些必須要的個人喜好，就直接往你要的產品去找，別浪費時間。就算你接受朋友或技師的建議，後面用的不如意，還是會怪東、怪西！我經歷這些經驗，真的覺得別浪費大家時間。

這些產品特性都是每個球友需要去觀察和分享。現在有網路，可以很容易去找到相關資訊和測評來分析。只是要去花時間找和吸收。畢竟現在球桿的價格不是幾百就可以買到，價格也不便宜，花點時間去瞭解球桿特性是很重要的購買前功課。

5. Forgiving and easy to play - This two are extremely important for golfers, since we are not professional and make lots of mistakes on swing. If we do not have a good forgiving golf club to help us work out the mistakes, it's unable to enjoy the golf. That's why in recent 20 years golf head development has been focusing on these two characteristics.

Easy to play is an overall result. When you grip the club, you can swing it easily and the club can help you strike the ball solidly. That's why the club needs to be easy for your play. If it's not easy to play, you won't be able to swing it nicely and solidly.

6. Control - In terms of golf club controlling, it's all about the club's length, shaft and grip's combinations. What kinds of shafts, length, swing weight, head weight, and grip material/weights are very important to find the best specification for your play.

If the golf club's specification is not fit your swing and body, you would not get the best performance and unable to enjoy the play from the clubs. Most golfers do not think the specification is critical for the usage because they think I can handle it with certain of time. The ideal case is the golf clubs to assist your play instead of that you fit the golf club. That's the idea you need to know.

7. Appearance, colors, and brands - That's personal preference. There is right or wrong in this part, sometimes it's important for some golfers since they only use certain brands or prefer specific colors for the driver and shaft.

With the clubfitting process, I hate golfer told me in the end of the product recommendation that I like Taylormade or Callaway. If you prefer specific brands, colors and designs, you need to share in the beginning, with that information, I am able to look into the right products for later recommendations.

Now we have internet that can search and get the information to know all the details and technology. There are many youtubers and bloggers shared the review of the golf clubs. The golf clubs are not cheap at all, you have do your homework and study from the internet, you can get better fit for your personal requirements.

現在有很多的網路勸敗文或是廠商的寫手在網路推波助瀾。稍微腦發漲就多一支桿了。對我來說，產品沒有對錯、好壞之分。這些都是掌握在球友手上，適合你的產品可以如魚得水、龍飛鳳舞。從球桿特性去瞭解，是快速和有效的方法。

產品有技術含量，設計到位，用起來就可以輕鬆自如、談笑風生。而不是瞎買，人云亦云！依據個人的需求、問題和身材，來設定選購產品特性的優先順序是關鍵第一步。而不會掉入購買的盲點或品牌迷失。這是沒有標準答案，比如我首要穩定性，再來距離，回饋...., 別人可能，要易打/操控/高容錯，再來距離，品牌....

當然市售款產品都是以多數人的使用為主，但還是有主要針對族群。所以才會有美日規格的球桿。這都是針對不同球友特性來設計的產品。而日系的產品多半價格會比美系球桿要貴。差別就在於桿身和握把的重量、硬度和長度上。 這就是產品特性上的操控、易打。

而目前的球桿性能來說，美系球桿還是比日系品牌和產品要優。當然日系產品在細節和材質上是有其優勢。而日本製這塊招牌是很多球友心中的定海神針，但其實除非一些小品牌的鍛造鐵桿頭是日本生產製造，木桿類和多數產品都是台灣代工廠所生產製造。也別被忽悠了。

球桿有太多邊邊角角的東西，過去我也花錢買不少經驗。加上也在這個產業，瞭解也比較深和透徹。對於球桿的知識絕對需要建立在經驗值上，也要花時間。只有把自己充實好才能見招拆招，吸收知識和經驗。

而上面的球桿特性就是你要瞭解的關鍵因素，沒有一支桿子可以全都具備，你要把最需要的特性去強化。同時和桿子截長補短，這樣才能發揮最好的結果，

There are many youtubers and bloggers used to promote the specific products sales, they work with the product company to create the trend or hot demands for such product. If you do not know about product characteristics, you will be easily jump into the trap.

To me, there is no exact right or wrong for the golf club, the club's performance is based on your swing, body and workability. Once you know the product characteristics, you are able to analyze each field with your requirements and swing problem. It's important step for pickup the right golf club!

For example, you need the consistency and forgiving as the first priority, second is distance, and then feel, control and so on. The other golfer may ask for forgiving/control and easy to play as the first priority, second is branding and third distance...

All the golf club has targeted specific golf groups, that's why we have US specification and Japan specification for the golf clubs. Since various golf groups have specific characteristics of demands and requirements. Being aware of that Made in Japan doesn't mean it's truly made in Japan, the golf club head and shafts might produced in China or Taiwan and assemble in Japan. That's how brand companies operate the business in order to get better market prices. Do not be fooling around!

Knowing the above golf club characteristics are important for you to select the right golf clubs. With these information and knowledge, it's hard for you to get the right fit. You also need to build a number of experiences on golf clubs then you will know exact technology practically for your usage.

There is no perfect golf club for satisfying all characteristics, you must look into the details of the golf club and make the right priority list for your selection. With the right golf club, it can help you work out your swing issues and make the best result of the shot. You are getting close with knowing all these.
