Odyssey Ai One Seven T 推桿

用刀背式的推桿桿頭是我的最愛，要推好，就靠不動如山的身體穩定性和推法熟練度，同時對操控上，著重在手臂掌握上。換句話說，推的好壞就是你自己的問題。當然我不時也會買小烏龜/Mallet款式桿頭來玩玩，我手上就收藏不少這類推桿。這次選了Odyssey 2024年新款Ai One Seven T推桿來玩。Xander Schauffele也用這類的款式，看看它怎麼讓球王情有獨鍾？

桿頭配置桿頸可以搭配碳纖維的桿身來提升推擊的手感與倒旋。整體性能直接拉升好幾個層級，也是推桿個人化的核心。好處是讓推擊的滾動效果更好，不會滾到後面就給你失速煞停。這類小烏龜桿頭的好處就是好控，球比較容易推直，手感也比較好。而這次的Seven T也是桿面是坎入鈦合金加工片來提升手感和效果。一般的坎入材質都是用比較軟特性，但這次用鈦合金更硬的材質，距離上會比較好吧！

這個桿頭實際感覺比較小，不如其他品牌（Scotty Cameron）類似的桿頭設計的大，所以不見得會更容易去掌握觸球的位置。但它的高MOI特性，可以把非甜蜜點的觸球效果提升到和甜蜜點推擊結果一樣的技術。這點就比較吸引我去玩看看，同時我選用的桿身是Matrix P2 125黑色桿身，來搭配Seven T這個黑頭，整體黑的感覺把視覺效果拉滿！

握把我用的矽膠材質握把，這款是我個人最愛的握把，因為握起來手感極軟綿和舒服。當然也買不到，所以我只能從以前的推桿上退下來，裝在這支推桿上，雖然顏色不搭，為了手感就犧牲一點美感。我的長度還是一樣32.5“，總重533.3g重量下（我習慣的推桿重量在480g上下），我都自信可以控制和擺動我的肩膀來操控。雖然整體的桿子重量會比我其他桿子要重些，但還是在身體可以承受範圍。

我在練習果嶺上推幾次，感覺這推桿的手感真的不錯但桿頭小，桿面的面積也不大，如果你的推擊動作不穩定，不容易推擊到對的桿面位置。當然這對推擊的方向性就有直接的影響。簡單說就是，它是一支比較進階級的推桿，不是一般球友想讓你減推桿數的推桿。但如果你的動作穩定，推法熟練，這支推桿會讓你無往不利。

I’ve always preferred blade-style putters because they focus more on the user’s stroke stability and rely on the person’s putting control. They emphasize the arm swing during the stroke, so how well you putt really depends on your own skills. Of course, I occasionally play around with mallet-style putters too—I’ve got quite a few of them in my collection. This time, I decided to try out the new Odyssey Ai One Seven T putter from their 2024 lineup. Even Xander Schauffele started with this kind of putter, so I had to check out what makes it a favorite among pros like him.

When it comes to putters, I prefer those with a head and neck design that works well with carbon fiber shafts. This combination enhances the feel and promotes better roll with minimal deceleration as the ball rolls out. Mallet-style heads, like the Seven T, also have the advantage of being easier to control, offering straighter putts and a great feel. This putter has a titanium insert on the face, which is supposed to improve both feel and performance. While most inserts are softer, this titanium one is harder, and I’m curious about why they chose that.

The Seven T head feels smaller than similar designs from other brands, so it’s not necessarily easier to line up the ball perfectly. However, its high MOI (moment of inertia) ensures consistent results even on off-center hits, which really caught my interest. I paired it with a Matrix P2 125 black shaft to match the black head, creating an all-black look that’s super sleek.

For the grip, I used one of my old silicone grips, which is my all-time favorite because it’s incredibly soft and comfortable. Unfortunately, you can’t buy it anymore, so I took it off an older putter and installed it on this one. The color doesn’t match, but I’m willing to sacrifice aesthetics for the feel. The length is my usual 32.5”, and even though this setup is slightly heavier (533g) than my other putters (around 480g), it’s still manageable and gives me confidence to control my shoulder movements.

After testing it on the practice green, I found the feel to be excellent. However, the small head and face area mean you need a consistent stroke to hit the sweet spot. If your stroke isn’t stable, it’s easy to miss your intended line, which directly impacts accuracy. To put it simply, this is more of an advanced-level putter—it’s not designed to help average golfers improve their putting stats. But if you have a steady stroke, this putter can be a real game-changer.

下集開始。

我的推法是手臂和手指都不會用力，只是單純的握住桿子，力量的來源和啟動是由肩膀。所以推這桿子也容易和簡單，但後面幾洞會覺得比較吃力。這推桿讓我覺得很聽話，方向和手感真的很棒，一點都不覺得是鈦合金的桿面不覺偏硬的回饋。這是有驚訝！當然這也和桿身、握把都提升下，得到這樣的結果，真的超過預期。

我之前去球具店去試這款推桿，實在不怎樣，推感就偏硬，觸球一下就彈出去。而我的Seven T就完全不一樣，在改裝後，推擊有擠壓感，觸球桿面位置也清楚明確，握感舒服也易控，就是把這個桿頭的特性和細膩凸顯出來。這也是個人化球桿不是只有讓球桿外觀上不一樣，從裡到外完全改變，只有用的人才會知道差異在哪！

這支推桿只有在距離上有比較短外（和我的Newport 2風格推桿比較），但在中短距離上真的很銳利，基本上是十拿九穩、信心破表。我很喜歡這支推桿是它的握把握的感覺，配上長度和重量感，推起來自信心滿格。也瞭解到Xander Schauffele會一直用這款推桿了。我覺得這推桿比較適合進階球友的使用，新手需要更多提升推法的熟練度為基礎，才能覺醒桿頭能力。

唯一我覺得不足或缺點是桿子重量對我使用會產生負擔。這個狀況在最後3洞就暴露，肩膀的擺動需要配置適合的推桿重量，重量過重就會產生操控負擔問題。在中距離的精準度就容易出錯。但在體力狀態不錯，發揮就很正常，就算沒進也在洞口1～2步距離。比較多是推短，因為和我習慣的推桿來比，一樣的力量和擺動，距離會短一點，所以方向很準，但距離就差這一點。

而用這推桿可以再重新把規格重制，讓你可以用得更舒服、輕鬆。桿頭不大，不適合裝成中或長推桿。因為你瞄球不容易瞄，視覺就很難掌握。所以我沒有看過有人把這款推桿改成中、長型長度。喜歡小烏龜/Mallet頭型，可以設定自己喜歡的長度來提升操控能力，當然這個桿頭的回饋也是亮點，需要配置適合桿身與握把就無敵了。

My putting style is very relaxed—I don’t use any force with my arms or fingers. I just lightly grip the putter, and the movement is initiated by my shoulders. That makes this putter easy and simple to use. However, towards the last few holes, it starts to feel a bit tiring. I find this putter very responsive; the direction and feel are excellent. Despite the titanium face, it doesn’t feel overly firm at all, which really surprised me! Of course, this outcome is also thanks to upgrades in the shaft and grip. The results are beyond my expectations.

When I first tried this putter at a golf store, I wasn’t impressed. The feedback felt stiff, and the ball just popped off the face. But my Seven T putter is entirely different after modifications. It delivers a compressive feel at impact, with a clear sense of where the ball contacts the face. The grip is comfortable and easy to control, really bringing out the head’s fine characteristics. Customizing a club isn’t just about making it look unique; it transforms the performance inside and out—something only the user can truly appreciate.

This putter does fall a bit short in terms of distance control compared to my Newport 2/blade -style putters. But for short and mid-range putts, it’s razor-sharp and super reliable—almost a sure thing. I absolutely love how the grip feels, paired with the perfect length and weight. It gives me so much confidence when putting. Now I understand why Xander Schauffele sticks with this putter! I’d say it’s more suited for advanced players. Beginners might need more practice with their putting technique to fully unlock the potential of this putter.

The only downside for me is the weight, which can become a burden. This issue really shows up in the last 3 holes, where the weight makes shoulder movement harder to control. When the putter feels too heavy, it can lead to mistakes in mid-range precision. However, if my energy bars are good, my performance is steady, and even if I miss, the ball usually ends up just 1–2 steps from the hole. I do tend to leave putts short, though, because with the same stroke force I’m used to, the distance is slightly less. The direction is spot-on, but the distance sometimes falls just short.

With this putter, you could further fine-tune the specs to make it even more comfortable and easier to use. The head isn’t very large, so it’s not ideal for mid-length or long putters. Aligning your aim with a longer version of this head design can be visually tricky. That’s probably why I’ve never seen anyone convert this putter into a mid or long model. For fans of small mallet heads, you can adjust the length to enhance control. The feedback from this head is a standout feature, and when paired with the right shaft and grip, it’s unbeatable.
