Stealth 9度 vs Rogue ST 9度！

這次我同時測試2支木桿，所以比較容易去比較2支桿頭的差異與特性。而桿身都是選低彈道和低倒旋的桿身。Stealth是用Veylix Menion 5 的S硬度，Rogue ST是LAGP Trono 55 R硬度。桿子長度Stealth是44.75“， Rogue是44”。所以規格是有些許不同。但都是在我可以操控的範圍內。

以桿頭外觀來說，Stealth的桿頭設計比較像饅頭，也覺得看起來比較小一點。所以如果設定超過45.5“，視覺感受就比較小和不協調。相對Rogue ST就比較扁平，視覺比較大，所以要裝長也比較適合。兩個桿頭的桿面重心位置都在中心位置，沒有像以前的桿頭會放在中間偏上一點的位置。這樣說起來也是屬於低重心設計。

而Rogue ST的感覺就比較易打，桿面也比較寬，可以用力來打都不會覺得會打壞的感覺。這就是這類桿頭設計的好處。而相對Stealth設計很好看，但會覺得桿面比較深，要打到甜蜜點會比較不容易。2個桿頭的重量，Stealth是195.1g，Rogue ST是194.2g差別在1g。但Taylormade的連接器重量比較輕，在7g左右。Callaway的連接器重量在10g，所以這樣算起來Callaway的桿頭重量反而比較重。

這也是我會設定Callaway木桿比較短的原因。當然揮桿重量是比較輕，我不會以一般球友設定的揮桿重量去設定。我動作打法無法用一般規格去打，因為太吃力了。換句話說，你們用的都對身體的負擔太大，所以動作無法維持和提升。而我的擊球都是打在桿面的中間熱區範圍，對於效果是最好。這才是你要去著重的地方。如何讓你打到甜蜜點和發揮身體的力量才是設定球桿的核心！

先在練習場打，瞭解2個桿頭特性和回饋。比較容易去感受桿頭和擊球在桿面不同位置的回饋。如果第一次測試球桿不在練習場，基本很難可以清楚抓到桿頭的回饋與非甜蜜點的擊球感受。2支木桿都是先打6～10球。然後換另一支。打3輪來瞭解桿頭的特性、手感、飛行效果。這樣就可以瞭解桿頭的特性與如果下場可以如何去打。

This time I test 2 drivers at the same time to see the differentiations. The shafts are using my M6 and Epic/Mavrik drivers. I picks the shaft with low spin and low/mid trajectory on both Stealth and Rogue ST heads. It's able to see the ball fly and profiles. However, the stealth driver is 44.75" length and Rogue ST is 44". It's still with my control with the length.

The head weight is similar as well. The Stealth is 195.1g, Rogue ST is 194.2g. But the Taylormade sleeve is 7g, Callaway sleeve is 10g. Therefore, the total weight is similar. With the head design, Rogue ST is shadow face with wide and big appearance. It's good for forgiving and easy to play benefits.

The face center of gravity is on the center that is kind of low and is able to lift the ball easily. Once you grip the Rogue ST, you feel comfortable and reliable. I would say it's good for average golfers to drive the ball to the air and gain the maximum distance. That's why I pick it 9 loft to make the ball generate less spin and low trajectory.

The Stealth is more deep face compared with Rogue ST. The head looks smaller than Rogue ST. It looks better and elegant! The face center of gravity is on the center with carbon fiber material. Stealth gives me more challenge to play as the head design is more workable and drive more power to control.

I play these 2 drivers in driving range to see the performance and feedback. Each driver plays about 5~10 shots then switch to the other one. I straightly play 3 rounds for the drivers then come out some idea and profile. Now the following is the pros and cons on these two drivers.

中集開始。

首先，我先打Stealth，桿頭回饋來說，感覺中球，桿面對球可以明顯感覺到中球的彈力。雖然彈力感覺很短，但很喜歡那種感受到球的中球彈力。擊球聲音也不會大聲，和金屬桿面的聲音差不多。但桿面是碳纖維材質，打起來也不會覺得桿面有比較明顯的反彈。很紮實，但無法感受是打在桿面哪個位置？對於非甜蜜點的手感來說，沒有太大差別。感覺都一樣，聲音我說無法感覺球中在桿面哪個位置。回饋都一樣。

再來是 Rogue ST，感覺Rogue ST桿頭的回饋要比Epic再提升一些，中球的感覺有更多的擠壓球的感覺。非常爽！會打得很熱血。中球、擠壓球感、然後球彈出去。當然這類金屬桿面的好處就是在非甜蜜點的擊球回饋會比較硬一點。但我覺得目前Callaway對於複合式材質的桿頭已經有很紮實的經驗和底子，在桿面回饋上，一代比一代要好。這點我個人會比較喜歡Rogue ST的桿頭回饋。

對於擊球的彈道來說，Stealth在空中的飛行高度會稍微高一點，但它的飛行時最猛、也最噴。因為它從擊球到空中飛行就是一個像地對空的飛彈軌跡。可以很清楚的看到，球由地面沖出來，然後一路爆沖到空中。而它的球速比Rogue ST要快，所以說它打出來的球很猛。打起來賞心悅目、超熱血！

對我來說，雖然Stealth的彈道高會比Rogue ST要高一點，但還是在低彈道的高度，不會讓彈道由低變中。飛行距離上，2個桿頭都是差不多。不會覺得有一支會比較突出。Rogue ST的球質感覺比較重，飛起來也不錯，球速也快，只是當有2支桿子比較時，就感覺出來一些不同和差異。不過，Rogue ST還是有比較突出的地方。

Rogue的桿頭設計，就是讓球比較容易彈沖到空中，桿面重心比較低和深，球的側旋和倒旋都比Stealth要低。這是桿頭特性的差異！因為看球的飛行軌跡就可以瞭解。而Rogue ST也和我的預期差不多，球飛出去就時直直的出去到結束，超穩定。側旋的壓制力超棒。這塊是桿身的特性加持。所以Rogue是可以讓你放心去沖距離。

With stealth, the head face feedback is impressive! The carbon fiber face doesn't feel soft or compressing. In fact, it's very solid feedback with quick bouncing. It's not big sound during the impact but very solid feedback. However, I could not identify the impact spot from the face. The feedback is whole face.

Even though the off sweet spot is feeling the same without harsh feedback like metal face, it's the benefit from stealth head. I personally prefer Rogue ST face feel since the feedback is more compressing during the impact. It's fun to interact more with the golf club and you are able to know what exactly the striking spot.

The face feedback is much better than Epic and Mavrik with my experience. I have played these recent 3 models and I can feel the progression with these three generations. Of course the off sweet spot feedback is hard. You are able to identify the striking spot from the face and understand whether it's a good striking!

In terms of ball fly and ball speed, Stealth is outperformed Rogue ST without question. The ball speed so fast with higher ball trajectory. The trajectory is still low but a little higher than Rogue ST. Rogue ST is exactly low for trajectory. The stealth spin rate is more than Rogue ST with about 200rpm. That's why the trajectory is slightly higher.

The Rogue ST ball looks heavy like bowling with solid ball fly. The carry distance is similar with stealth but rolls more than stealth. Since I play these two drivers head to head, that's why I can identify the ball fly with ball speed and trajectory. If you play one of these two drivers, you will like its profile and performance for sure.

下集開始。

Stealth的球在尾巴容易產生一點甩尾側旋。我是容易帶點右曲來但幅度不大，約10碼左右。還是可以把球放在球道上。只是對於動作的精準度會要求比較高。如果你的動作穩定性沒有到一個火候，你會打到後面幾洞很掙扎。我想我會配新款的Fujikura Ventus TR桿身來讓Stealth 把側旋壓制下來，同時把長度設定在44.5“～44”。這樣可以把球桿的控制能力拉到最高。

因為我在使用上，Rogue ST會更容易去控制球桿和桿頭回正。長度比較容易去掌握，就讓身體和手臂更容易去把桿子拉回來到擊球位置。這也是我覺得Stealth比Rogue ST要長0.75“的影響。加上Stealth這類深桿面設計，觸球位置就不容易去掌握。導致我覺得Stealth在觸球上沒有Rogue ST那樣紮實和容易。

尤其我現在動作在上桿的節奏會明顯慢，讓身體可以更容易去維持揮桿平面，下桿的速度會瞬間加速起來。所以桿子的長度對我來說會更加重要。這也是大家可以去思考的問題？為什麼你需要設定或使用原廠設定的長度？我的使用要求就是讓身體可以更容易去操控球桿和掌握桿頭的軌跡。如果可以做到，這才是你需要的規格。

不過Stealth的擊球倒旋比較高是明確無疑。這個結果和我從網路上，一些人測試的結果是一樣。朋友使用的結果在spin rate是比較高。約有200～300mph的差異。彈道上就是會稍微高一些。但對揮桿速度一般的球友來說，差異是有限。我覺得就是3～5碼的差別。而這樣的差別我覺得在球場上都是可以被歸為合理的誤差範圍。

2個桿頭特性是有差異，也是針對不同球友需求所設計。要好打、易打、要衝遠的Rogue ST是當仁不讓。如果要打爽、有更多的樂趣和做球需要，Stealth是最佳選擇。不過，2個桿頭對規格設定是有各種的特性。不會一樣。因為桿頭就不一樣，對於規格使用就會不同，才能讓桿頭的特性發揮更容易。當然我今年就靠這2支東征北討了！會有更多的想法和經驗可以在以後文章來分享。

The other characteristic of Rogue ST is the low center of gravity that helps the ball lift the air fast and high. After I strike the ball, I am trying to check the ball trace but it's already in the air. On the other hand, I can see the ball from the low to high with stealth. That's totally different ball path for these two drivers.

When I play Stealth, sometimes there are slice with about 10 yards. I think it's not forgiving like Rogue ST, the head can not adjust the side spin that needs to have consistent swing in order to keep you ball straight. I think it can be solved that makes the length of the driver about 0.5" shorter to have the better control for striking.

Comparing with Rogue ST, it's shorter than Stealth with my setup and helps me control easier then contacts the ball with square face. That's key if you would like to make your ball straight for better contacting, the length is always the option for you to adjust particularly the average golfers. I can see the results with two different driver specifications.

I have seen many golfers struggling for the side spins with original specification. It's the reason why you can get your ball straight since it's too long, light, heavy, and wrong grip size. That's why it's important step to get fit when you try to find the right driver as it's the critical first stop from the tee box, no one wants to have a big slice or hook.

As a result, with my observation and experience, Stealth generates more spin rate than Rogue ST, but the ball path is more aggressive and fun than Rogue ST. I would say these two drivers have their own characteristics and profiles. They are all good drivers for golfers to enjoy but the key is to find the right specification for your swing! It's all about fitting your own way.
