有時候打一些新產品會驚艷到距離變得很優！尤其鐵桿這些年來有個趨勢就是桿面角度越來越強勢。所謂的強勢就是比如3鐵角度是21～22度，現在做出18度。那你說這距離是否會變得更遠？當然，就算沒有飛的比較遠，但至少也滾的更遠。

重點就在這角度。角度變小，飛行彈道就比較低，落點角度也會比較小。所以球落地後的角度小一些，往前的衝力也比較大。自然可以得到距離的提升。所以這是廠商們所做的距離提升方式。你需要嗎？或是你覺得新鐵桿的距離明顯比你現在的鐵桿要更遠些，那買套來用看看。

我個人覺得在中鐵和長鐵（如果你有用到3，4，5鐵）的桿面角度可以強勢沒問題，但在短鐵角度其實有沒有強勢根本不重要。因為短鐵是要打準度，不是距離訴求。所謂短鐵的距離每個人都不同，但可以簡單說在120碼以內。對我來說是120碼以內的距離。

而這個距離是所有球友兵家必爭之地。不管你身材，年紀或力量速度多少？這個距離都是所有人可以打得到。而如果你可以好好掌握這個距離和有其相對的球桿可以發揮，那你的成績也不會太差。

這也是很多距離不長的球友專精的距離。也是彌補缺距離的重要球桿。而且這個距離就算你的動作不標準，只要練得久，練熟就可以發揮準度。所以如果400多碼這樣的距離就很可以發揮。成績就不會太差。

所以如果是我來說，我會配置強勢的鐵桿在中長鐵。而短鐵還是用我熟悉的鐵桿和角度來發揮。因為打準的桿子在桿面角度這塊不是關心和下功夫的重點。如何讓你可以發揮出準度才是這個桿子的核心。

Sometimes when I play the new model iron set, I can feel the distance is outstanding. It's the trend for recent iron development, more and more irons with strong loft design make you flight longer. Strong loft iron means the face loft is smaller degree. For example, 3i loft is 21~22 degree, but stronger loft is about 18~19 degree.

With strong loft, it will make the launch ange lower, trajectory flat and smaller landing angle. Since the landing angle is smaller, it will have strong power to make the ball roll longer. With that advantage, the overall distance becomes longer than normal loft design.

This is the way of modern golf equipment approach to make golfers feel distance improvement. Do you need it? Or you need more distance on irons, you can get one set to play.

Technically speaking, with strong loft iron design, long and mid irons are good for this advantage. Since longer distance is to target a certain space in golf, short iron is to target small space. Therefore, short iron is to play accuracy instead of distance.

With that idea, strong loft is good on mid and long irons to create more distance but short irons need to deliver the accuracy. That's difference strategy and task. With short iron's distance, to me it's within 120 yards. With that distance, everyone can play and that's the key for distance weakness golfers to gain back the respect.

No matter of your body, speed and power, short game and short distance are the key for hard work and deliver the accuracy. I have been seeing lots of senior golfers or distance weakness golfers to perform great on short game and short distance play. If you can handle this part well, your score would not be too bad overally.

With some long par 4, you might need to use third short with 100 yards distance to target the green, thus short iron and wedges are extremely important for golfers to perform. These irons are all high trajectory in order to land the green sharply without too much rolling. Even though the loft is stronger, it won't change the result of high trajectory. As a result, it's no need to consider the strong loft in short irons.

The best scenario for building the iron set is to mix with various iron features, advantages and personal requirements. I custom the irons for various golfers with mixed iron combination that is to have strong loft irons on long and mid irons, the short irons stay no change on the loft. The golfers are able to gain the distance on mid and long irons with cavity or pocket iron design with forgiving advantage.
