這次回訪到watters creek球場打它們的traditions 18洞，之前和孩子打player 9洞覺得很不錯，這次要打它的18洞來體驗球場的挑戰。下午1:50開球。先去拿球車，到推桿果嶺去練一下推桿和熱身。就和朋友一起去開球。現在9月了，德州的溫度有下來一些，比較好些，應該10月的氣溫會更適合打球。

這個球場我覺得設計還不錯，有水池、沙坑和樹林。也是一個典型比賽型球場，早上有高中生的比賽，所以球場質量維持不錯。該有的，這個球場都看得到。而且風景真的還不錯。雖然也有一些房子在球場，但不多，整體的感覺比較像在大自然打球。打過這邊不少的球場，都有一個感覺就是太接地氣。

球場到處都是房子。感覺不像在球場，像在住家旁的公園打球感覺。和亞洲的球場多半在郊外沒有人住的地方，每次去打球搞得像去辦事，不像休閒運動的場所。是完全不同的風格和體驗。但Watters creek比較讓我覺得像單純球場那樣的風格。就是球場在大自然裡，旁邊沒有房子讓你感覺你在社區裡。和在台灣打球很像。

今天打藍梯，有6600碼的距離，所以挑戰起來也比較有趣。我最近都是有時打金梯/黑梯，有時打藍梯。因為差別是第二桿用的球桿不同，也給自己有更多的機會去練習平時少用的球道木或長鐵。不同球桿在自己的手上才能充分去運用和發揮。基本上這個球場大部分都有水池或水溝，所以打起來的視覺壓力不小，準度要發揮，才能讓自己避免一些問題和傷害。

這個球場和我之前打Frisco Lake球場來說是值得再打和風景不錯的場子。挑戰等級中上，也是可以克服，就是自己要去把一些動作和球桿掌握給做好，才能讓你在這個球場如魚得水。前9的難度比較高，水池、沙坑和樹林交錯。還有一些山溝，讓你如果沒有打夠距離，就受傷。今天掉4個球，2個掉是對球場不熟狀況打的距離不夠掉水溝和水池。另外2個是自己打壞，沒有打好出界。

這個球場的球道上下起伏，果嶺也不容易，很刁鑽。還好我常打黑梯或金梯，對第二桿的進攻不會有太大的問題。因為很多par 4 第二桿都需要打比較長距離，如果開球沒有打到甜蜜點，就需要用長距離球桿。所以球道木和3鐵的使用比較頻繁。當然有時候需要用到7鐵打第二桿。今天前9狀況很不好，木桿還沒有進入狀況，但短桿和推桿都不錯。

This time I play Watters Creek golf course again but it's for traditional course 18 holes. Last time I played its player 9 holes with my son. I love this golf course' design and layout. Of course the fairways and greens are well maintenance. I book 1:50pm tee time and arrive 20 minutes early to loose up on practice putting green.

The weather is perfect since it's not hot like summer in September. October should be better for golfing. The traditional is challenged golf course with trees, water, creeks all arounds. It's typical tournament course. I play blue tee with total 6600 yards and it's tough on this golf course. Most of par 4 are over 400 yards. If you can not handle the fairway woods and long irons for long second shot, you are unable to make the par in the end.

This morning it's senior high school tournament in this golf course and that's why they choose this course for tournament. You need to be consistent, accurate and skilled in order to maintain your score in good level. One thing this golf course is good that there are not many houses around the fairways or greens. It's easier for golfers to focus on the target.

You can really enjoy the play on outdoor! The view is good and it's on my must-play list with Frisco Lake course. The first 9 is tough for average golfers to play. You need to play accurate and consistent with all golf clubs in order to make the par. If you do not make good distance, it makes your second shot harder to get on the green.

No mention if you mis the shot, you get damaged with landing the water, creeks and trees. I would say if your swing and skills are not in certain level, try other courses to build your experience and skills first. This course is not for newcomers or high handicappers. Otherwise, it will get frustrated in the first couple of holes.

下集開始。

現在對短桿的控制越來越好。不少球可以把球切到球洞邊2步左右的距離。還好今天短桿發揮才能把失血壓到最低。後9就比較容易一點，球道也比較寬，但一樣在果嶺進攻上也是很有難度，因為果嶺周圍都會有沙坑和樹林包住。如果打偏，一樣出界或上不了，我寧可打在果嶺邊再切回去。今天都沒有打短，大多打偏，所以距離都有出來。短桿到位，推桿就2推。打這樣的球場難度，認清自己的能力最重要！

今天進沙一次，它的沙粒是細沙，但可能有澆水，所以我那一次打覺得比較有阻力。不過也切出來上果嶺。應該說打這個球場是考驗你各種球桿的能力和掌握。如果沒有一個火候，炒米粉是正常。加上果嶺速度在9左右，也是挺快。狀況也不錯，不會亂跳，也沒有打洞或草死掉。打不好就是自己的問題。加上早上是高中生的比賽，果嶺的狀況也維持不錯。

果嶺不少都是設計砲台式，需要再加點距離，不然容易打不夠。如果偏一點就滾下去，有好幾球都這樣滑落果嶺。只能說今天的旗桿也插的很刁鑽，因為比賽，本身果嶺就有難度，也有地形的起伏，要推好不容易。很容易三推。但這是克服得了，反而覺得這種果嶺推起來很舒服。好好看草紋和地形起伏轉折就不會差太多。

今天打的人也多，前後都有組別打，我們和另外一對韓國夫妻併組打。他們真的打得好。先生差點7，木桿很穩定，但彈道不高，打球策略很務實，打20多年的球，所以知道自己的短處，會知道利用球桿來克服，所以很多球都是打低讓球滾。但如果是長的三桿洞，就不容易上。學習了！

他老婆也打的不錯，木桿超穩定，都在球道上，而且打白梯/6200碼，不是打Lady梯。很猛！所以我們今天4個人打完就4小時。非常快！會打球的人一起打都可以觀察、學習他們的打法和策略。當然每個人的打法、動作和節奏都不同。找出自己的風格和打法才是最好。

後9比較穩定，木桿、球道木、鐵桿、推桿都很穩。大多打par，最後一洞560碼，3桿上，一推、抓鳥。完美的收尾。打這類比賽型球場，你的長距離桿子和短桿如果無法操控好，一定是騎三輪車回家。我喜歡打比賽型球場，這樣比較能把實力差距拉出來。球桿技巧和能力就看出高低！韓國人在球場的技術都有一定水準，打起來也比較好玩！

現在打的多，經驗累積也相對高。對節奏、策略和打法都有自己的一套。只要可以把穩定性提高，就可以讓成績再進步。這邊的距離都是貨真價實，沒有什麼捷徑可以走。如果你的長距離不行，別說3桿上果嶺，4桿打上都正常。而且今天用便宜、距離一般的2層球，都會輸給別人用Pro V1約5～10碼。對於不熟、有難度的球場，而且併組，我都用2層球來抓感覺和調整狀況。後面打順了也就一直打下去。好球場，值得打！

My short game is getting better, I can deliver the ball to the hole within one flag distance. That's why I can make the damage down to the bottom. The back 9 is easier than first 9. The fairway is wider but the second shot is challenged as well, since the green has bunker and trees surrounded. If you can't droo the ball stop on the green, it's easy to roll over the green.

Particularly the green is turret style. If the second shot is hard to make the ball on the green, I would rather to make it on the edge or in front of green edge. It's easier to chip the ball to the green without taking big chance of the second shot. It helps me guarding par!

I would say to play such golf course, you need to have certain abilities on all kinds of golf clubs and controlling. Since you will need to play them with all kinds of up/down fairways for standard on the green. Moreover, you need to be practical to know your advantages and weakness then make the right strategy for your shot.

The green is tough as well, but you are able to read the green grass pattern and turning point, you can make the putts without problem. That's why the experience and skills are basic to play this golf course. But if you are capable, you will like such golf course to enjoy the fun and challenges.

I play with a couple of Korean, the guy is good player with single handicapper who knows his advantages and make the right choice on the golf clubs. The swing is smooth and consistent. I have learned from his play with the strategy. It's good to play someone who is better than you and you can check how they make the decision and how they work out the problem?

That's why I like to play with strangers who can always bring something for you. All you need to do is to watch and think! It's a good golf course that brings lots of funs and lessons to me. I definitely will play again in the future. Next time I will play good 3 layer tournament ball to make the distance longer with better control. This time I played 2 layer ball and the distance is short 5 to 10 yards with pro v1. All details count!
