Woodbridge golf course!

今天打Woodbridge球場，也是我在德州的最後一場球。要回去紐約了！孩子不喜歡這裡，所以只能回去紐約，等孩子上大學再下來住。打球太舒服了！Woodbridge球場在Plano的東邊，開車約30分鐘！也是一個不錯，且有難度的球場。之前朋友就推薦來打這個球場，所以最後一個球場就留給Woodbridge。週六下午1點半開球，自己過來打！天氣有點熱，在90度左右，有風，但比較悶！

這個區域有不少球場，上次打過的風火輪球場就在Woodbridge的附近。也是不少人來打球的場子。這個球場是我在德州打下來最累，最久的一場。週六算週末了，所以打球人不少，但之前也打過週五的球場，也沒有這麼慢，應該都是前面組太慢導致。看他們不停的找球，時間都磨掉了。害我後9掉2個球，都是等到身體涼了，身體轉不起來。氣死！

今天人多就打藍梯，距離為近6500碼。前9和一位老美一起併組打，他打到14洞就撤了，因為他家就在旁邊，直接回家。後九和另一個年輕的會員一起打。這兩個都是這裡的會員，得到很多訊息和攻略。這就是在美國打球都可以收穫豐富。大家都喜歡打球就喇賽，分享訊息和情報。如果沒有這位阿伯給我攻略，我可以前9會掉4個球，他幫我省3個。

這個球場前9比較難，都是樹林、水池分佈。它的水池不是像前兩天打的Watters creek那樣大和美，就是球道給你一個水溝，或是左邊樹林，右邊一條小水溝。所以方向一偏，就麻煩或掉桿了。前3洞都在熱身但還可以維持住，都靠短桿救下不少球。最近短桿發揮很不錯，切的準度和力道都有如pro降駕，所以可以把每一洞控制在par或加一。簡單說就是打多了，短桿就風聲水起、靠信心和經驗加持。

它的沙坑有，但沒有很多、也不大。我今天都沒有下沙，它的沙是細沙，有看同組老外打，可以判斷出來。今天第二洞開始就和後面一位老哥一起打。他是這裡的會員，所以有他提供我球道策略和狀況，才能在前9如魚得水。只有掉一個球，開球打歪掉。我個人覺得這個球場很像Watters Creek風格，但我覺得Watters creek比較好，這裡覺得它會刻意讓你lay up打。沒有空間去突破！

I will go up to New York City in the end of the month so I plan to play the last round in Pano. Friends recommend Woodbridge golf course, it's about 30 minutes driving from Pano. It's good course with challenges and books Saturday 1pm tee time. It's kind of hot over 90 degree and play alone.

My kids love NYC better than Plano but Taxes is a good place for golfing. I will come back later once kids go to the college and retire in Plano. This area has lots of golf courses, the fire wheel golf course is next to the woodbridge. Today there are many golfers playing and it will have tough time to play without doubt.

Today is the worst and longest play I have ever done in Plano, TX for golfing. The group in front of me is spending too much time on searching the balls, that's driving me crazy and the body gets cool down in back 9 without good plays. However, I play with couple of local members and they provide lots of info and suggestions to me. That's priceless experience and memory in this course.

I play blue box with over 6500 yards, on the second hole the local guy join with me to play but he finishes on 14th hole since his place is close to this hole. The back 9 with one young member to join. That's good to have local people to chat with and they provide the strategy and information to make the right way on the green.

Woodbridge is similar with Watter Creek but I prefer Watter Creek better since it's view and design are similar with tournament. Woodbridge design is limited with forcing you to lay up on certain holes. That's why the short game play important rule to make a good score in each hole. Since I have been playing lots of rounds and short game skills has been picking up. I can make the one chip and one putt to close.

下集開始。

一些難打的球道都是球道起伏不小，打錯位置就算是在球道上也影響第二桿的進攻。同時在進攻果嶺上，果嶺會做的比較狹長，或旗桿插在很機車的位子。有時旗桿前面是小水溝，有時是沙坑。所以今天上果嶺率就比較低，靠短桿開外掛。推桿今天也和前兩天差不多，也有4次一推/長推進洞，很爽！印象最深是在第16洞180多碼3桿洞，開球落在果嶺邊/edge，球開啟導航進洞，抓鳥！

另一個鳥，是一切一推。最近2場球都是有幾次的一切一推的好球出現。感覺短桿穩，就比較敢推，就算沒進，都是滑過洞口邊的狀況。閱讀果嶺和抓線的能力都升級不少。它們的果嶺速度沒有很快，大約只有8，果嶺狀態也不錯，推起來不會跳動，質量上和Watters creek差不多。但一些洞的果嶺真的有點變態，地形起伏的幅度快一個人高，一個短切，剛好在旗桿那個區塊，但彈一下往後拉，就滑下去。

後9的球道就很寬，像停車場。落差超誇張，但因為後9的前面組太慢了，我們2個人打，一直在等，等到身體都停機休息了。所以後9雖然簡單，反而還掉比較多球2個。動作都是沒有收桿，太想打好、尾巴帶右曲飛到住家去了和樹林。我在美國打球頭一次這樣。遇到前面一組不懂打球速度，不停找球。連巡場都去說了幾次，但還是一樣慢。

看來打這裡的球友質量不高，不懂球場禮儀。之前有週日和週六打也沒有這麼久過。因為大家都不慢，不會讓後面組等太久。看來Woodbridge正式列入黑名單了！這個經驗太差了。球場的設計來說不是太合理，類似的東西在Watters creek就不會這樣。當然和這兩個會員聊天才知道，這邊會員費比watters creek要便宜一半。因為他有朋友是watters creek會員。一分錢一分貨！

對於我訂的價格，watters creek和woodbridge都差不多。30出頭塊含稅加球車。Watters creek我開車10分到，這裡遠還容易塞場、外加球友質量低到烙賽。兩邊的質量都不錯，果嶺也很舒服，Watters creek的果嶺速度稍微快一點。但我喜歡Watters creek的設計和感覺，打起來很爽。 後面就要回去紐約打球了！就是完全不同風格的球場。大家拭目以待！

The fairway is up and down on the first 9 holes with challenges. If your tee shot is landed on the wrong spot of the fairway, you are unable to make the green on your second shot. The right strategy is critical to make you standard on the green. Of course, I have local members to help me out and share me the right spot of the landing area.

The green is also designed narrow and surrounded by the bunkers and creeks. If you don't have the confidence to make it on the green, it's better to lay up with chipping to the green. My short game is working sharp like pro. Most of the shots can deliver the ball on the right spot of the green then put it to the hole without problem.

Some greens are tough with up and down slope, it's testing your green reading ability with grass pattern and turning point. Since I have been playing regularly in TX, the ability has been upgraded. I have had more confident and aggressive to make the long putt and get the long putt to the hole 3 times today. The green quality is great without doubt but the speed is around 8 which is a little slow than Watter Greek.

The back 9 is super easy with wide fairway but the front group is playing too slow with finding the balls all the time. I do not think they really understand the rule of playing speed. They don't care other golfers and the staff checks with them many times but they still do their own way. I am sure it's my first time and last time to play at woodbridge. The golfer's quality is far behind watter creek.

The prices are similar for both golf courses with similar design but Watter creek is much better on the view, design and quality. More importantly WC is well managed and well organized. I would rather play WC instead of Woodbridge. The local member told me the membership fee is cheaper than WC that may be the part of the reasons why there are some golfers without caring others in this golf course.

This is my last play in Texas and will go up to NYC to play. It will be the different golf course style comparing to Texas. I will keep sharing my golfing story to my audiences. Let's go for 2022!
