現在的桿頭和桿身都做得高容錯，要好打的關鍵就在規格組合上！

近5年來測試不少新產品，也用不少新桿頭、桿身。都覺得一個簡單和直白的結果就是高容錯。也就是說，桿頭和桿身的設計都把容錯這塊給拉到滿格。你看各家產品在桿頭上都訴求，讓你失擊影響和非甜蜜點的擊球都可以得到不錯的結果和手感。

同時桿身也沒有閒著，在穩定性和材質提升下，對於抗側旋這塊的能力比10年前的桿身要猛很多。這點可以從launch monitor/擊球模擬器中的擊球數據得到證明。這些特性都告訴我們，當桿頭和桿身都越做越穩定和高容錯，你要如何去把這些特性發揮和運用在你身上？

有一個前提是；不是桿頭和桿身設計高容錯，我們就可以放心用在自己的新球桿或買球具廠商的新產品。這不是劃上等號！為什麼？因為這裡缺了一個關鍵的拼圖；組合的規格。規格，不就是球具廠商的規格就是最好的設定？他們有專家設定給我們一般人用的桿子規格，這樣不就可以讓球桿的特性發揮出來嗎？

這個說法有對，也有不對的地方。對的地方是，他們的著眼點是在讓你可以買新產品，所以設定的基礎是建立在讓你心動去購買。而購買的動機不就是；價格、性能和手感的幾塊。而這是廠商的想法，但你要以你的角度和需求去思考球桿。而你用的新桿子，有打的更好，OB有少嗎？

所以不對的地方就是；每個人都不一樣，不可能照廠商的規劃劇本走。所以桿頭或桿身都具備有不錯的容錯和易打性，但如果沒有建立在你可以使用的基礎和需求上，那桿頭和桿身的特性就只能發揮部分效果，而不是百分百！這也是大家有一個錯誤的觀念，桿子要買來練才能讓我打得好。所以你是在配合你的新桿子。不是它來協助你。

I have been trying a number of golf clubs in recent 5 years, there are many good driver heads and shafts for better forgiving design and feature for average golfers to enjoy. The common feature and advantage from these recent products are forgiving and easy to play that tells you you can hit the ball easily and nice result with mis-shots.

Forgiving and easy to play are two important factors for average golfers since we do not have good body and swing as professional golfers and the golf gears need to help me make the impact of the mistake in golf swing in least. That's why the equipment makers have been working hard to make you play nice and easy.

We can see the major equipment brands offer the heads with good off-sweet spot performance, it will help us gain the good distance. How about the shafts? there are many shafts come with high level of carbon fiber sheet to increase the strongness of the shaft. It will allow us to reduce the side spin with the mis-shots.

As a result, we can make the shot better and longer without big impact on the mis-shots. But it's not completely true as there is one important factor on the golf club, it's specification that sets the golf club length, weight, and swing weight. Most golfers are not paying attention on this part but if you do not have the right specification of the new golf club, it won't allow you perform as good as you expect.

We all follow equipment maker's golf club setup and is it fit your swing to make the best result? I do not think so. Why? since we are all different and the golf club set up needs to consider your physical body condition, swing profile and golf club requirements. With all the consideration, we can set up the right specification for you to play in the best condition.

這也是球具客制的重要性和存在的目的。就是為了要把因人而異的部分給補起來。你需要什麼樣的規格?才能讓你發揮你的身體力量和速度？這都是設定規格重要的地方。這個時期你可以用比較長的桿子，揮桿重量重一點，但年紀大了，動作、身體和速度沒有以前好，桿子需要進行調整。

我自己現在用的桿子和6年前的桿子規格完全不同。你的身體和動作會根據你自己的能力，和對動作的理解而有所不同。我打球差不多18年，但我的桿子規格每2～3年就不同。所以我一直認為球桿訂製師和醫師一樣，他要知道球友的疑難雜症，然後制定解決的方法。不是蕭規曹隨、一成不變！

對症下藥就是技師的任務。選擇什麼產品就能決定結果約6成，剩下就是組合的規格。多數球友都認為，這不重要，也就依照我現在打得順的規格去設定就好，不需要特別找技師來幫我喬一個規格來。但結果就是你要去適應桿子，桿子無法讓你運用自如。等你熟悉桿子，桿子的性能早就奄奄一息了！

我一直在強調桿子規格的重要性，不是要你來找我做球桿，你可以找你熟的技師，打的好壞你自己清楚。桿子規格的重要性是大家長期以來忽略最嚴重的一塊。但它卻對大家使用球桿影響最大的一個因素。就算你買的桿頭或桿身都是頂級的產品，但設定規格不對，一樣打得烙賽。

我看過太多球友的桿子，桿頭和桿身都不錯，但規格設定根本就不適合，或使用者根本無法掌握好的規格。別說球友了，我自己都一樣打得烙賽。多數技師都會習慣設定差不多的規格給客人，但不是所有人都可以駕馭得當。我自己設定的規格很多和市面工坊設定完全不同。因為規格沒有標準，人都會不同。

我想不通，那種46“的長度怎麼打？我自己裝過幾隻46“木桿，只有不到5成的擊球精準度。就算桿子輕但物理特性不會改變，那樣的長度給你的手臂和身體很大的負擔，比你打一支D4、D5的桿子還要吃力。所以規格是王道，桿頭和桿身的錢都花了。最後一塊拼圖沒有，就不會是完整的結果。

That's why we need customized golf club for all kinds of golfers. It's always followed the same specification for your golf clubs and the right specification is based on your body and power. Furthermore, we are getting old everyday, your golf club specification can not be the same all the time, it needs to be changed when your condition and body are different.

With my experience, I have been playing golf for over 18 years, my golf club's specification is altered every 2 or 3 years. I believe the clubfitter is the same as doctor that needs to know golfer's situation, profile and condition then find out the right products and solution for golfers.

golf club specification is always ignored by golfers. Golfers are interested in new golf clubs with new technology and new materials but not willing to update your golf club specification every 2 or 3 years. Since golfers believe I can work with the new golf club with the new specification for a while.

That's not the smart way for nowadays as you take your valuable time to work on the golf clubs which are not fit your body and swing. Once you are familiar with the golf clubs, the condition and limitation of the golf clubs are almost reached. I built some 46" long driver to play in the past but it's less than 50% of striking accuracy. That's not making any sense for average golfers to play with such specification.

The longer length of the golf club makes your body and arms to handle heavily during the swing, that's not the right specification but it's current drivers' setup. The length is always over 45.5~45.75" for the new drivers. To get fit will save you the money and time for making swing better and gaining the best forgiving result. That's all we expect!.
