桿子的重量和長度哪個比較重要?

下集開始。

從人體力學角度看,球桿的長度如果比較長,使用困難度提高很多,同時體能耗損增加,和擊球精準度降低等問題。就算使用者是一樣的人,桿頭,桿身和握把都一樣重量規格,長度會是使用最大的問題。

我以前就測試使用過不同長度但一樣桿頭、桿身和握把重量,當長度超過0.5 inch,使用上難度就提升。如果超過1“,擊球精準度就會低於50%。也就是打到桿面甜蜜點的比例會下降。而就算長度超過2 inch,擊球距離也不會提升超過10碼。但對擊球精準度卻低於30%。

所以我個人經驗會先建議一般球友,你的習慣長度是多少?因為這個長度對於使用是最習慣,也可以駕馭自如。如果沒有打到桿面甜蜜點,那就算可以揮的多快或桿子多長的優勢,一樣無法得到最好的擊球結果。當長度固定下來,再去考慮重量這個因素。而重量就會相對簡單容易了。

簡單說,長度和重量這兩個因素必須要先固定一樣,才能選擇或決定另一項設定因素。多數球友都把這兩個因素設定可選擇的狀態,導致可能性和變化非常大,而無法選擇適當的規格。

現在的球桿把長度越拉越長。選手都沒有打這麼長的桿子,為什麼一般球友需要用這麼長呢?你有沒有想過這個問題?你真的可以從更長的桿子裡得到穩定的擊球距離和擊球精準度?這才是你要去思考的問題,而不是球具廠商的東西就照單全收。

所以我的一些朋友,買新球桿的第一步就是拿來給我重新配置桿身和整體規格。有時候測量市售桿子的桿頭重量,桿身和規格,就會覺得:這一般人打的動嗎?如果不是運動員身材和體能,不然打這種桿子會容易受傷。

或許你覺得我危言聳聽。但球桿有太多隱性的問題和因素需要去考慮。多數人都不了解,也不要認為,我可以買來慢慢練。對!你絕對可以練得起來,但你的動作卻會被改變和影響。因為桿子和你動作、身體不對下,動作就會改變。你不會知道,這都是身體自己會去調整適應。當你發現動作跑掉,也已經太晚了。

In terms of human mechanics, if the club length is longer than your current spec, it increases the difficulty and body loading. At the same time, your striking accuracy is decreased. Even though the head, shaft and grip are the same models and specification, the length becomes longer, you will play harder.

I was trying various club lengths with the same head, shaft and grip for researching. If the length goes 0.5" longer, the difficulty increases, for longer 1", the striking accuracy will go down less 50%. if it goes over 2", the distance will not flight longer 15 yards but the striking accuracy will decrease to 30% or less.

Striking on sweet spot of the club face is key for the whole swing, if your club is unable to make you accomplish this job, you will need to consider to adjust the right length and weight for maintaining the best swing accuracy. My personal suggestion is to play the length you are most comfortable with the best striking accuracy.

Trying various club length is risky and takes time to let your body to get used to it. Even though you are used to it but it will change your swing spontaneously. Since our body is intelligent and will learn to accept the new things in the new way. Thus I would suggest golfers to make up length or weight first in order to decide the other's specification.

There are many combinations for various lengths and weights so we need to decide one first then we can evaluate limited possibilities for the other factor. I can't figure out why the current wood's length is over 45.5" and with such length, it's hard for average golfers to get the best swing accuracy and control.

If you do not do work out and excise regularly, playing longer length is difficult for weekend golfers. You might get good shot from time to time but you will suffer inaccuracy most of shots and get the frustration. Being realistic and trying something reasonable with your play. We are not like pros who have the power and good body to handle the clubs. They do not play such length in tournament, why do we need to play such specification? It's the thing you need to think!
