上桿到頂點的練習

 

The best way to learn the top of the swing position is to carry on from the takeaway drill described earlier.  Upon completing the takeaway drill, swing the club toward, and above your right shoulder; at this point you should allow your shoulder, hips and knee to rotate as far as they need to go.

 

學習上桿最好的方式是先把前述的上桿動作做好,從起桿的位置將球桿往右肩的上方揮去。在這的同時也要讓肩膀,臀部與膝蓋轉移來配合上桿的動作。

 

1 Just as it was in the corresponding place in the backswing, the club shaft should be between my arms and the clubface is square to the left wrist.

 1 就像上桿時一樣,在下桿時桿身要在手臂之間,桿面也要保持它與左手背的方正。

 

2 Right-elbow is in front of my body not jam to the side, my left arm is swinging towards the golf ball, and my wrists have maintained their hinge.  My left arm is close to my chest; these are all trademarks of a good player.

 2 右手臂右手肘是在我的胸口的前方,不是擠在我的身邊的腰上,我的左手臂是往球位揮過去,我的手腕還是保持它的彎曲 (hinge)。這些都是好的球友的特徵。

 

3 My right knee remains flexed, stay back away from the golf ball, and not collapsing; this will allow my right-elbow and club to swing thru.

 3 我的右膝還保持它的彎曲度,沒有衝出去擋住我揮桿的軌道。

 

4 Notice my spine angle has stayed the same as it held at address.  Maintaining this angle thru impact is a must.

 4仔細看我的 Spine angle (脊椎角度) 還保持著一樣的角度就像我一開始做準備動作的站姿時一樣。從準備動作到擊球一直保持著這個角度是必需的。

Downswing

An exercise I recommend to my students to help them ingrain the proper downswing motion is called the ‘Pump Drill’.  Assume your normal setup position and take the club to the top of the swing.  From there, slowly move the club downwards till the shaft is almost parallel to the ground (above right).  At this point the wrist should still be hinged, back is still facing the target and my lower body should be passive.  At first move the club slowly till these position start to feel natural, do these in a set of three then go ahead swing thru to the finish. 

 

我建議大部份的學生使用這個練習來幫助學習下桿的動作。先做出你的一般揮桿的準備動作然後上桿到上桿的頂點,從那兒慢慢的揮下來,揮到桿身與地面平行 (右上方的照片)。到這時,手腕還保持它的彎曲,我的背部還是面向我的目標,我的下半身還是穩住的。一開始練習時先慢慢來,做這個動作直到自然,這樣的做三次,再上一次桿然後揮到收桿。

One of the keys to deliver the club head into the golf ball like a Tour pro is having your back face the target a long as your can.  Doing so will keep the body from spinning in to the ball and an inside attack path.

 

要像巡迴賽選手擊球的話就要保持你的背部面向你的目標越久越好。做好的話,這可以保持你的身體的扭轉,也讓揮桿出現從內側揮桿軌道 (Inside attack path)。

 

 

 

Impact

 

擊球一剎那

1 The left side, arm, hand, club head, golf ball, left leg and left hip are all aligned, a key for solid impact.

 

1 身體的左側手臂、手、桿身、桿頭形成一直線是正確擊球的關鍵。

 

2 A flat left wrist is a must for better ball striking.  Cupped left wrist tends to lead to thin or slice shots.

 

2 左手臂到左手腕的平直是擊球到甜蜜點的要件。沒有平直的話會造成大右曲。

 

3 A good weight transfer to the left foot is crucial.  Hang back too much will produce “reverse C”.

 

3 一個好的重心轉移到左腳是重要的,重心留在右腳太久的話會造成 ‘reverse C’ (倒 C 的收桿)。

 

4 The right shoulder should be a little lower than the left.

 

4 右肩要比左肩稍微低一點。

 

 

 

Impact Drill

 

擊球的練習

Begin by presetting your body and club at impact (upper left).  Right shoulder lower than the left, spine tilt kept, left side aligned with both club shaft and ball.  Make sure your right hip and right knee stay flexed, your left wrist is flat and weight is primarily onto your left side.  Once achieve this position, swing the club about half way back and thru about waist high.  Even this is only a little chip shot; this will produce the good habit of proper impact.

 

第一步先做出擊球的姿態:右肩比左肩低一些,spine tilt 【脊椎保持傾斜】,身體的左側,桿身與球位的一直線。要確定身體的右側 (右臀與右膝) 保持彎曲,左手臂與手腕的一直線與重心大部份在身體的左側。 做到上述後,上桿到半揮桿的高度,下桿送桿到腰的高度。 雖然說這不過是一個小小的切球動作,但卻會養成正確的擊球習慣。

 

 

 

Release

送桿

 

1 A proper release always displays arms that are fully extended and cross over one another.  Full extension is a must for accuracy and power.

1 雙臂漂亮的 fully extend (送出) 及 cross over (轉折) 是一個標準的送桿的象徵。完全的送出是準確度與爆發力的來源。

 

2 The fingers in the left hand should be visible, indicating the club head was fully release thru impact. 

2 左手的手指應該要可以看到,那表示桿頭有漂亮的送出。

 

3 The left hip and left leg are still in line and straight.  This position is absolutely necessary if you want to strike the ball with authority.  A firm left side also helps club head to gain speed through impact. 

3 左臀與左腿成一直線,這個姿勢是你想要正確擊球的要件。一個穩固的左側是增加揮桿速度的好方法。

 

4 The right foot should remain on the ground until it’s pulled up y the power of the club swing past the body.

4 右腳應該保持在地面上一直到被送桿的力量拉到收桿的位置。
