下集開始。

我打這個木桿都可以輕鬆的打到桿面熱區,就算偶爾沒有打到甜蜜點,在根部位置會感覺比較硬一點的回饋,而整體在桿頭回饋上是很優,值得給讚!所以我覺得如果你的揮桿速度低於100mph,這款木桿會讓你用起來特別有感。打起來比較容易去和桿頭互動。可以看出來Callaway桿面越來越好!

另外在距離的表現上,就沒有那麼驚人。我打這木桿的起發角度在14~17度範圍,像我在打3木的角度範圍。所以距離可能因為彈道高度而影響到飛行和滾動距離。最好的距離是240碼,大多在230碼左右,飛行距離在200~210碼,滾動距離在20碼。

所以打這支木桿都在240碼以內,主要在用這支木桿我得到的smash factor在1.36,我其他木桿都在1.46,完美的數據是1.5。所以反應在距離上就是“短”。可能用9度的會比較好,這樣可以把彈道壓低和低倒旋,那這支桿子就很猛了,桿頭9度,配低倒旋、低彈道!

也可以說我一般都是用aftermarket的桿身,所以可以提升擊球效果,同時球在飛行過程和滾動效果都可以有效提升。這也可以解釋為什麼要優化球桿需要訂製和使用桿身廠自己發售的產品,OEM的桿身就是讓你可以打,但要得到更多的效果和感覺就需要找進階的產品。我自己用其他配置aftermarket的桿子距離都在240碼,最好可以得到260多碼。距離一直都是在這裡打轉。這就是差別,花多一點的錢,就在這些細節表現可以更突出!

同時我也用3層球款來做為測試球,讓性能上不會差太多。但這樣的結果確實令人失望。也可以說目前的問題點,就在桿身這部分。因為桿頭是原廠,也無法做調整或改變。球也用的不錯,規格對我使用也是可以接受,打到桿面的甜蜜點熱區都在8成左右,而得到的結果就是比較短。這桿子的擊球倒旋在2400~2700rmp是非常不錯的結果。但倒旋也只有20碼的效果,實在不給力。以飛行效率來說,確實不及格。

但也不能要求oem桿身去做到不可能的事。以OEM桿身來說已經是不錯的數據結果,這也是我會升級桿身的原因。揮桿重量是D2,確實容易打,也不會太耗體力。所以一般球友都可以駕馭的球桿和享受擊球樂趣。但對於距離來說就是有提升的空間,只是市售的桿身可以給你的空間是非常有限,桿頭是不錯也得到應該有的效果和回饋。只是距離就是無法說服我的地方。

The distance is not very impressive, I only get maximum 240yards and average distance is about 230 yards. The carried distance is about 200~210 yards and rolling can get 20 yards. It's not impressive result on using the multilayer golf ball. Since the smash factor is only 1.36 compared other drivers such as SIM2, and Epic drivers I can gain 1.46 that can make the distance over 250 yards easily indoor.

My launch angle with this driver is a little high from 14 ~17 degree, it's like using 3 wood. The back spin is good around 2500rpm. However, the distance is not as good as expected. When I hit it solid but the distance is not bouncing to 250 yards and still under 240Y with disappointing. The swing weight is D2 that is good for average golfers and weekend golfers to handle.

However, the distance is not as good as other drivers, it will be the issue for the golfers to consider for upgrading the shaft to aftermarket. There is only shaft to be upgraded in order to improve the distance result particularly the flying efficiency and productivity. I would say the shaft with mid/high trajectory and 2500rpm is good enough for OEM. If you need more distance, aftermarket shafts should be the one to gain more distance.

I think Callaway is moving the right direction to get more market shares on the driver development but it needs to address the distance more and further for average golfers since it's critical for them to get every 1 yard they can. If the distance can not meet my requirement, no matter how the feel is I would not consider at all, period!
