Titleist TSR2 9 度木桿！

2023年球季開始了。去年10月後就沒有動球桿了，忍了半年了，最近開始計劃2023年的新機絲準備。首先木桿是讓我高潮起伏，柳暗花明的一次。因為最近在組一套鐵桿和木桿給朋友，到球具店去買握把時，想試看看Titleist 新的TSR木桿和Paradym比較。到試打區，就給它打幾球看看。TSR2打3球，換Paradym 3球，TSR3 3球。休息一下，再打一回同樣的桿子和次數。

都是選9度，S硬度。得到的結果讓我跌破眼睛，TSR2打起來手感好，倒旋和側旋都是最低。我並沒有去熱身，完全以身體自己的反應去發揮，沒有刻意去加速打。但我自己都知道，用TSR2是最好。因為沒有熱身，球都會帶點fade。但Paradym是slice，壓制的能力不及TSR2.TSR3也沒有TSR2的容錯高。雖然2支效果都差不多，我個人偏TSR2。如果是10年前的我肯定TSR3，但現在的我就是裡子比面子重要多了。

Paradym的倒旋比TSR2要多300～500rpm，導致距離少掉10碼多。這2個原因讓我決定回家訂一支TSR2來玩玩。當然我知道這當中的貓膩在哪，不過我驚訝的是新的TSR木桿的桿頭和桿面可以有這樣的效果。在不經修飾和調整下可以有這樣的結果，讓我覺得這就是我2023要用的桿子。回家後查一下TSR的桿頭設計和桿面材質，確實可以理解它的優勢。這個桿面真的是我這2年打下來，感覺最噴的一個。

當然TM Stealth2也不錯但我今年也是會用Stealth，因為第一代和2基本沒有差什麼。而我有超過6年沒有用Titleist的木桿，從917後到現在就覺得它的設計和技術沒有以前915好，本來有要買TS木桿來玩玩但試了後，完全不行，球速沒有TM和callaway好，倒旋也不行，總之完全放棄。今年開始就一整個Tielist球桿了。

我自己也在等訂的Fujikura Ventus TR black 5S桿身到，來配置TSR2。再把性能和穩定性給拉高到極限。這些我都會在後續的文章中和大家分享。而我下單到Titleist客制部門這隻TSR2，長度短1“，握把用Tour Velvet undersize，桿身選三菱 Tensei AV Blue 55 S硬度，桿頭9度。3月11日下，3月27早上收到。大約2週時間，是完全可以接受。

基本上在美國下單，都可以在2～3週時間收到球桿。至少我下過Callaway，Titleist，Taylormade。而且我是選不加價的桿身和握把，選擇比較適合我使用和規格，這樣我自己也省麻煩。更重要是我可以把我自己裝的桿身進行一樣規格的比較。一樣長度和握把規格去看桿身的差異，可以對球桿產生什麼變化？同時我也訂了桿頭的配重塊，目前原廠是6g，我訂了3g去進行更改。

這是最好玩的地方，沒有試我不會先下結論，但這樣的玩法會讓你有很多的變化和樂趣。而這隻TSR2會再和我另外的Callaway，TM木桿再比較。一下就會產生很多的火花和可能性，對於桿身和桿頭的特性會清楚的瞭解。也讓我在後續協助球友的球桿訂製上，產品推薦和特性分析上可以有完整的論述和分享。

Summer is arrived and I haven’t played golf about 6 months. Since March I have been working on the new gears and orders new stuff to play for 2023. Of course, driver is always my first priority and recently I am building Titleist T200 iron set and woods for my friend, I go to pro shop to try the new 2023 drivers. I am very impressive the new Titleist TSR2.

I was trying Callaway Paradigm and Titleist TSR2/TSR3 for 3 balls on each driver. Playing 2 rounds for the testing, I have gained good result on TSR2 for less back spin and side spin rates with longer distance than Paradigm. Since I pick all 9 loft and 50 gram shaft with stiff flex to see how I can drive. I don’t really expect TSR can drive the ball so consistent and forgiving.

The launch monitor data shows the Paradym driver generated more back spin and side spin with 300~500rpm. It’s important for me to get all the data correct, that’s why I have no hesitation to order a new TSR2 with my specification. When you try it, you feel the different and through the testing data, you have everything clear!

I go home and placed the order for new TSR2 driver with custom requirement. I pick 9 loft, undersize grip, Mitsubishi Tensei AV blue 55 stiff flex shaft with 1” short length. It comes out D4 swing weight when I get it. I personal prefer light swing weight as the club can fit my body and rotation without giving too much loading on my arms.

I also order light weight 3g on the back screw, the original is 6g. I can change it later to see how it impacts my swing and control? At the same time, I order Fujikura Ventus TR black 5 stiff shaft for fitting TSR2. I am going to build the same length, and undersize grip. It will tell me shaft’s differentiation, profile and performance.

There are other drivers that I can compare with such as Stealth, Paradigm. It’s always fun to see the differentiations and profiles on each golf clubs. Particularly I am the club fitter and club maker who need to build the product knowledge, practical usage and golf club technology for recommending the right solutions for golfers.

I am going to post my finding and test report later once I play these new gears, there are more new golf clubs to come as I order Scotty Cameron phantom X 5.5. It’s good start for 2023, let’s go for new golf season!
