速度不快，球的好壞才是關鍵/swing speed is not fast, picking the right ball is key！

我發覺球好壞對於有速度力量的人來說，差別不大。因為力量夠大可以把球的性能輕鬆發揮出來。再加上球的彈跳性USGA也有規定，在這樣的限制下，球心差，只要夠力，球的性能也可以輕鬆發揮出來。但現在關鍵在於一般人的揮桿速度不快，動作容易出錯，打不到甜蜜點，這樣對於球的好壞是有非常大的差異。

因為我自己的揮桿速度不快，木桿來說就94～97mph，鐵桿在85mph左右。所以我要說的重點在於當速度力量有限下，球的好壞就非常重要。在我測試球的經驗裡，好壞球的差異在於打在非甜蜜點的效果？好的球也就是球心好的球款，距離差異不會太大。打到甜蜜點還超能滾。倒旋和側旋量都相對小。

這說明什麼？球的飛行效率高。能量傳送高，就算你沒有打到甜蜜點，能量傳送到球上也可以有不錯的效果。飛行結果不會讓你感到挫折。簡單說，能量不足下，球的飛行效率是絕對因素。如果身為引擎的球心效能不好，自然飛不遠也滾不遠。這就是好壞球款的差別！

好的2層球款，要USD20我也願意付，但這個市場太多魚目混珠的球。別人賣20，我也要賣20，反正一般人也打不出來。我如果賣的低一點，球友會覺得我的球爛，檔次不夠。很多連做球的製造商業都不懂這些。更不用說一般人會懂。我好歹在球裡打滾多年，要感受差別會相對容易，也可以找到問題和因素。

球和球具一樣都需要做量身定做。如果你的球用的軟，加上球心不是太有效能，配合上木桿比較軟，側旋高一點的話，球就容易往左飛。側旋就比較多。這是在實際下場觀察出來的結果。我的經驗是好的球款在球心上，會依據使用者的擊球效能去產生不同的結果。如果你打到甜蜜點，它會得到比其他球更好的結果，沒打到甜蜜點一樣不差。我的不差是和一些3層urethane的球款來比較。

我用好的球款，就算是2層surlyn球皮，一樣可以連滾帶爬的過260碼，其他球款也就250碼左右，非甜蜜點的距離也在230～240，其他球款從200～230範圍。你說有沒有差？就是差在非甜蜜點的擊球結果。同時對於速度沒有很快的人來說，好的球心可以帶我上天堂，差的就只能三桿上了。而且這還和你用的桿頭有直接關係。這部分我會在其他文章去討論。

不要再覺得球不重要，或我也試不出來結果。好壞對一般人的速度能否給你好的結果？同時非甜蜜的擊球結果也不會讓你內傷的那種？就這2個要求，這市面上的球就非常有限。所以我一旦喜歡的球款就會一直用下去。這樣你的成績和表現才能維持在一個高檔位置。這就是工具重要的地方。支持國貨是好事，但台灣好的東西都出口了。能說的就這樣！後面還有一篇更深入的文章去討論球的邊邊角角。

The golf ball is important factor for golfers. However, if your swing speed is over 100mph in driver, it's not big different with using various golf balls. However, if your swing speed is below that number, the right golf ball will play critical factor for you to gain the best result of your shots.

More importantly, we are not professional golfers, striking on the off sweet spot is all the time, how the ball react such situation? further given us the best distance. That's the key and what I am looking for! Average golfers have the difficulty to keep up the swing and striking on the sweet spot is not high, the right golf ball can help you get the greatest distance without difficulty. It's what I find and test from over 10 different golf balls with less known brands.

My personal swing speed with my driver is 94~97mph. iron is about 85mph. With such swing condition, the ball's core plays importance to determine the good distance. The good 2 layer golf ball with surlyn cover is generating greatest carry and rolling distance in both sweet spot and off sweet spot for me.

Comparing with other less know brands 3 layer urethane cover golf balls, the sweet spot shots are similar result and distance but the off sweet spot has the difference. 2 layer surlyn ball is overperformed the multilayer urethane soft cover balls. Why? it's the golf core, the golf core is like car's engine, a good and efficient engine is able to drive more power with efficiency and productivity.

That's why I believe the key evaluation for a good golf ball is on the golf core instead of cover particularly swing speed less than 100mph. Since golf ball has the COR requirement from USGA, therefore, the ball can not bounce too big and if your speed is fast, your result is limited. On the other hand, swing speed is not fast golfers need to find the right golf ball to give you the best result on the distance.

There are tons of golf ball products from the market, to find the right one to fit you is like fitting the personal golf clubs. I am willing to pay $20 something for a good 2 layer surlyn tournament balls instead of paying over $30 for multilayer urethane balls without giving me the good result on off sweet spot shots.
