用聲音去分析/quality of the product is determined by sound！~上集

在高爾夫裡面，我對於視覺這部分的依賴或需求並不高。這是什麼意思？這是包含所有的工具、思想/策略/觀察和執行。整個世界裡，利用視覺去決定、分析和評斷為主要的方式。但我認為視覺給我們的反饋、結果和資訊完全不足以去瞭解你要了解的事物和思想本身。所以在我的高爾夫裡或生活中，我會增加聽覺這部分的訊息來幫助我瞭解物體本身的真正意涵。

舉例來說，你在擊球過程，你無法去瞭解這一擊的好壞，但你卻可以從擊球的回饋和聲音去判別。所以對我來說，我這一球打的好壞，不是它飛的遠不遠或有沒有偏為依據，而是有我擊球給我的聲音和感受來決定。所以我如果打的很紮實，同時回饋也很舒服，這就是好球，就算我方向打歪或距離沒有達到我預期。

對我來說，我已經把身體和工具本身的最好結果發揮出來，已經完成我這一擊要的目的。而雖然有一些任務沒有達到，但我的高爾夫就是把身體和工具發揮出來就是達標。因為其他沒有達成的任務都可以解決，也不是大問題。但要去控制身體，球桿，球都可以發揮到最佳化是最難的一塊。而我做到就是OK了。

聲音是你可以從另一個面向去瞭解物體本身的狀態和一面。球桿也是一樣。這是我不曾對別人說的部分，因為靠聲音來分析或決定產品或物體本身的質量、狀態是非主流。但卻是我會去觀察的重要依據。桿頭、桿身、握把這些零件都是組成一支球桿的基礎。而每一個零件的狀態和質量都會需要和你身體有契合，所以我藉由物體所產生的聲音，來評斷這些零件是否能合我的身體八字？

很玄沒錯！但我會把我做的每一支球桿的桿頭、桿身、握把所產生的聲音去建立資料庫，同時再去分析哪些零件的效果對於我的使用，可以得到最好的結果和回饋？我的經驗是，這是相關。而且我只要聽聲音就知道這桿身、桿頭的效能和質量狀態，是否對我使用是契合？當你對你的領域有一定的瞭解、功力和經驗時，你會有一套你自己的評估方式，而這個方法不見得和目前主流做法是相同。

We use our eyes to measure and evaluate the results of our play. It's kind of all of our equipments, tools, and operation to fit this method. However, it is not the only way for me to determine the result and feedback of a product. The sound is also an important way for me to check what's the truth behind the scene?

For example, during the golf swing, you may not be aware of the striking quality but you can hear the sound of the impact to determine the result of the shot. For me, I care more about the striking feedback and sound than the result of the distance. If I hit it solid, the feedback will be solid and sound is like crystal.

The key of the striking is to use your body and golf club to drive the ball solid then the sound will be clear. Even though the shot is not go straight, the feel and sound are good to me to make the good comment. For average golfers, if you can drive the ball solid and control your golf clubs, it's tough job for us in golf swing.

Sound is the way to help us know what's the quality of the object? It's the important approach for me to evaluate the products or parts quality. I have built my sound database for all kinds of shafts, heads, and grips. It sounds silly, but it works fine to me as I am able to evaluate the shafts, heads and grips sounds for the quality.
