心得:
寫這篇案例在於,看不少家長望子成龍、望女成鳳,才不到10歲或10出頭歲用大人的桿子在打。我自己都覺得辛苦。因為孩子不只要被教練雕塑動作,還要配合球桿,身體會走精。我上面沒有寫太詳細,其實我把桿子重量都減輕到不能減。桿頭配重螺絲都卸下來。都只有C的揮重給孩子打。就是要讓他可以集中在動作的練習和運行上。球桿的負擔到最小。

他還是運動員的身體狀態都只能這樣,如果拿一般球桿就會越打越挫折。後面動作也無法維持和精進。現在打4次練習場,他說球桿都沒問題,不覺得重、硬或長。就是要去練習動作的細節,比如肩膀的轉動更快和順暢,手臂帶球桿要掃過擊球點,而不是往下打,收桿要更完整和身體重心的轉換等。

都是動作上的問題,球桿不會讓他產生問題或困難!這是對新手和孩子在培養高爾夫時非常重要的起步。絕大多數的人或教練認為在學球初期,球桿不是問題和重點。隨便拿一支桿來練。然後拼命練球去配合球桿。最後也把身體練的東倒西歪。同時建立對球桿不重視,認為練球練動作才是王道。就連選手也是這樣的觀念。

以孩子目前練4次,鐵桿的問題不大,5木可以打到5成的桿面甜蜜點,木桿還需要加強。因為越長的桿子對動作細節和運行越要求。這需要更多時間去加強和練習。但如果你的孩子可以適合他/她的桿子,懂揮桿和體能教練,他也會學得更快、正確。而更重要是他已經可以瞭解為什麼打壞,哪邊出問題?我已經不需要去說明或提醒他了。

推桿,第二次練就可以掌握肩膀擺動的推法。已經沒有問題。當然推桿也是配置他可以的長度和重量。只是重量和規格根本就不是你看過的數據。孩子在這幾次的練習後也逐漸喜歡高爾夫,現在每週都會和他一起去練球。希望再過一個月可以一起和他下場打球,以後帶他去挑戰不同球場!會打球只是第一步,後面球場的挑戰和策略,就會讓他體會更多高爾夫樂趣。

The reason why I write this case study is to address the right golf club's importance for new golfers and kids. Most of golfers and parents believe to build the golf swing is the right first step, I agree that but before that you need to have the right and fit golf clubs for them to build the swing. If they are not using the right gears, the golf swing is hard to build and it's hard to hurt the body.

The irons, and woods are all C swing weight for my son, he doesn't feel the difficulty and heavy, or long during the playing. That's the best way to allow him focus on the swing and work on the details in setup and down swing. He is playing basketball as well with good athletic body. If I provide him the regular off the rock golf clubs, he will give up for sure as the wrong golf clubs give him the difficulty to play.

Now he is working on the shoulder rotation that leads the right arm to release the power and then complete the finishing of the swing. It takes years to build the lower body rotation and another years to build the shoulder rotation, but now he just takes 4 times of practices in driving range. Hopefully to take him to the golf courses in another month. Now I take him to the driving range once per week to build the swing and work on the driver and woods drills.

Regarding the putting, he is picking extremely fast as the second time of putting drill, he is able to put correctly with the shoulder rotation. That's the best way to maintain consistency for the mid and short distance putting. Of course, the putter I give him is shorter and lighter compared with what the major brands' putters.

All I would like to address is the golf gears are very important for golfers who are not familiar with the golf swing with the early stage of golf development. The right idea is to build the right golf clubs first to let you build the swing and also have body work out trainer to help you build the body profile and core muscles. Golf is not just about the golf swing, it's body, gear and dynamic golf swing. The old golf idea for golf swing needs to be updated and work on the right and new science approach.
