So, these shoes are my go-to for 2025. I usually rock spikeless golf shoes, but this time I grabbed a pair with spikes to switch things up. I’ve tried spiked shoes before, and they were solid—classic golf shoe vibes. They fit snug, grip the ground like crazy, and are super comfy to wear. But honestly, I don’t wear spiked ones too often since I lean toward spikeless for everyday use. My old spiked pair ended up sitting too long and got wrecked.
This time, I went for these Nikes. Yeah, they’re not cheap, but I snagged ‘em on sale, so I figured I’d give ‘em a shot. Been wearing them for all my rounds this year, hitting courses all over. These shoes are straight-up classic golf shoe style. They wrap your feet nicely, grip the ground like nobody’s business, and are comfy to walk in. That’s my takeaway after using them all year.
They’re waterproof too—my feet stay dry as a bone, even with morning dew on the course. Breathability’s on point; no sweaty, stinky feet issues here. Design-wise, they’re pretty standard for spiked shoes—nothing super flashy or different. The hard plastic sole makes them sturdy as heck. Whether I’m on soft grass or hard concrete, they hold their shape and don’t squish my feet.
Honestly, once you get used to dedicated spiked golf shoes, it’s tough to go back to spikeless ones. These are just so comfy and solid, especially for someone like me who walks the course. They’re awesome. Haven’t had to deal with rain yet, but with heavy morning dew, the waterproofing holds up perfectly. When I’m swinging, my feet stay locked in—no slipping at all.
So far this year, up to October, I’ve played over a dozen rounds with these shoes, and they’ve been my trusty sidekick every time. Gotta give ‘em props! They’re not the flashiest, but they nail the fundamentals, which is exactly what I need. These are staying in the starting lineup for now—unless I get itchy during Black Friday, Thanksgiving, or Christmas sales. I’ve got other spikeless shoes I rotate in, and I keep a backup pair in the car. I pick my shoes based on the course’s terrain and vibe.
For me, having both a spiked golf shoe and a spikeless one to switch between is the way to go for any golfer. Some courses aren’t flat—they’re up in the hills or mountains with all kinds of terrain. From my years rocking spikeless shoes, I can say spikes are better for grip, handling rough terrain, and overall comfort. It’s like driving a four-wheel-drive SUV—sand, water, grass, rocky paths, you name it, these shoes handle it like a breeze. What about you? What’s your take?
