你多久清潔保養你的球桿/how often do you clean and maintain your clubs?

很多人打完球後就把桿子丟到車子裡或放在家裏。我想很多球友壓根不知道球桿需要進行清潔和保養的工作。因為在亞洲打球，球桿多半桿弟會幫忙清潔和擦拭。所以球桿對多數球友來說，沒有需要清潔和保養。但實際上，別人不會對你的桿子細心照顧，桿弟的清潔都是把桿子放到水裡，然後拿刷子刷幾下，再拿布起來擦拭。

所以這樣的清潔絕對不到位也無法清潔很多的細節、凹槽的地方。這就是你自己要找時間進行對球桿的清潔和保養。自己的球桿要自己保養和清潔。通常我自己會打完球後（練習場）就擦拭桿頭和桿子整體。如果下場，回到家會花10～20分的時間清潔和保養桿子。

一定會用牙刷對桿頭和桿面進行清潔和整理。清潔完後會上油。因為下場多數狀況都會吃土、吃草。所以桿頭一定會有泥土和沙粒附著。有些都在凹槽和logo裡頭。需要用牙刷去刷一下污垢。而我通常會每二個月做一次球桿整體的保養上油的維護。

如果打球的頻率高，那就會每個月都做維護上油的保養。這樣你的球桿才能維持在最好的狀態。如果你沒有清潔和保養你的桿子，它絕對無法提供你最好的發揮和效能。有時你的球無法打出應該有的結果，或打實了卻有側旋問題。都是因為桿面附著一些顆粒和黏上泥土導致觸球無法得到最好的結果。

而且沒有對球桿表面進行上薄油就很容易會生鏽。當然有些人覺得挖起桿桿面和桿頭生鏽可以得到不錯的倒旋能力，但其他球桿如果沒有上油就容易生鏽。對於外觀和球桿狀態就會影響。

如果桿面不乾淨或凹槽裡有泥土，就無法得到最好的倒旋量也會增加側旋機會。更重要它也會刮傷你的球表面。當然你的球桿固定保養，自然使用的時間就更長。我的朋友每次試我的球桿都說我的桿子像新的。因為我固定清潔和保養下，桿子的狀態就可以比一般桿子要更好。

Most of golfers throw the golf club/golf bag to the garage or home and lots of them do not know there is a clean or maintenance for golf clubs. In Asia, caddie will clean your clubs most of time so Asian golfers do not clean or take care of the clubs after game. Please do not think caddie will take good care of your clubs, they just do the normal work for cleaning your club. If you want to make sure your clubs are well taken care? it's better to do it by your own.

Generally speaking, I clean my clubs after my practice in driving range and I do the maintenance after I finish my game with friends from course. I will put some thin oil on the club head particularly for irons, putter and wedges. These clubs are contacting with the grass and sands most of times, you need to use toothbrush to clean the grooves and face and make sure it is totally clean on the face. It's important job for you to ensure the club head in the best condition without dirt, and sands.

I used to do the club maintenance every two months. It depended on how often I play? If you do the maintenance regularly, your clubs will be perfect shape and condition. That's why most of my friends my clubs are like new condition. Since I polish the head and shaft to make them hard scratch during the play and I can use the towel to clean the head and shaft to maintain the surface easily.

If your clubface is not clean, it will effect your play and make your ball flight inconsistency. That's why cleaning your club head is very important work before you golf. It will increase your side spin due to the face uncleaned condition. Of course, it will scratch your golf ball cover and make it unable to perform the right direction.

The irons, wedges and putter are the important clubs needed to be cleaned. Since these clubs are contacted with grass and sands most of time, cleaning is necessary work for golfers to keep up the best performance of your game. Thus please check your clubs now and make sure they are all in clean and good shape for your later play. It's not hard, only take 10 minutes to do it. They will return you with great result of your play.
