力量多少也是決定你的擊球倒旋多少/Your power is equal to the spin rate!

最近打球也調整自己的動作節奏,把上桿的節奏放慢,讓下桿可以更加穩定,維持揮桿平面。對於擊球精準度來說,反而提升了。以前的動作上下桿的節奏都會比較快。主要原因在於想打遠,要有力量才能更容易去控制球桿。另一個好處就是當揮桿節奏快時,身體和手臂對於球桿的承載力就比較小。但節奏速度快,身體就比較需要力量去控制,肌肉也相對僵硬。

雖然觸球可以比較紮實和不錯的擠壓效果,也因為這樣,對球的倒旋也相對大。所以我的球不管打木桿,鐵桿都比較不會滾太多。因為球的衝力很大,彈道也相對高,所以落地角度也比較高,球的往下衝力也高。所以就想改變一下10幾年來的擊球節奏,以前年輕,覺得有力量速度就不需要慢慢打,但年紀大了,就會在乎更多的控制和精準度問題了。

當你時間到了,你需要思考自己目前的長短處。所以高爾夫世界裡,沒有絕對和維持不變!現在節奏放慢我可以吃球精準,打到甜蜜點的比例增加,而且吃球也很紮實。對於距離,也沒有比較短。也就讓我覺得這樣的節奏打球的好處還真不少。慢慢覺得以前看到一些40、50多歲的球友打的順順節奏,一點都沒有殺傷力,但就是很穩、也很準。

現在明白到他們打球的道理了。還是那句老話:打到甜蜜點,才能得到最好的結果。就算6成力一樣可以和你8~9成的力得到差不多的效果。節奏放慢的第一步就是“身體需要相對放鬆”。以前看一些選手說握桿要放鬆,但一直做不來,因為都是自己身體緊繃要握緊,導致無法放鬆身體和放慢節奏。

我現在一直有持續鍛鍊身體,也把球桿都輕量化,身體對於球桿的負擔都是可以接受。所以現在都會讓身體比較放鬆的狀態來擊球,尤其在握桿的準備動作開始。握桿太緊,肌肉就緊繃,力量也會比較大。這是差別。所以調整節奏對於你擊球設定都有影響。現在上桿讓身體做好動作為主,上下轉換才開始把下半身的扭轉給發揮,身體更容易把韌性給做出來。

以前的節奏方式,比較容易手臂去主動下桿發力打,導致都會吃土過多。所以調整節奏後,手臂搶快的問題就變少了。更容易去轉動身體,而手臂學會在觸球前才加速發力的方式,擊球效果也不會比以前要差。這是讓我決定把節奏放慢的主要原因。

Since this summer, I have changed my swing tempo from quick to smooth. The good thing for this change is my striking accuracy is much better than before but the distance is not much different or shorter. My previous swing tempo is quick style but it drives more power. However, it makes my body and muscles stiff.

The more power you pour into the golf club, the more spin rate is generated to the golf ball. The other reason for changing the swing tempo is to make my shot more controlling. The fast swing tempo is hard to control the ball direction and swing plane. Of course, I am getting older and the power is not as usual. That's why golf is the life long sport and you can use the same way or swing to play forever.

The current swing tempo is slow upswing and smooth down swing. With that, I am able to maintain the swing plane that makes the striking direction more controllable. I have been working out for a decade and my golf clubs are light weight for me to control easier. As a result, I do not need to swing hard and fast to get the ball long but with easier swing for maximum performance.

When I was 30s, I could not figure out why senior golfers or the golfers with 40 ~60 years old swing slow or smooth. Now I completely understand. I have seen some golfers with 50s and they do not swing hard but drive the ball long and accurate. That's impressive me a lot! Now I am doing that style to make my swing produce efficiently.

Now I slow down my swing tempo and my gripping is relax instead of hard or aggressive gripping. It helps my arms relax and more controllable. If you swing hard, your gripping is hard and aggressive! Of course, your arms are stiffer that is hard to control and manage. Once your upper body is relax, you are able to control your tempo and easier to make your swing.
